    I bought this as Hoya discontinued the amazing SMC series of uv filters. The performance is similar, however the NXT has a new Multicoating that makes cleaning the filter very tedious. I will be looking for a better option, however for the price this filter is still a great value and significantly better than others in the sub $50 range.

    This is a very good lens filter by Hoya. A filter always goes on my lens right after I receive it. Its good practice to protect your valuable equipment. Hoya is a name brand I usually go with for lens filters.
