Unless your intent is to do web browsing without the intent of playing videogames (nothing hardcore), don’t bother buying it. I got this Chromebook for my 11 y/o son and upon setting it up with Family Linck I couldn’t add any extensions to chrome (needed to access his school portal), YouTube became inaccessible by default, and to top it off, Chromebook processors are not powerful enough to play Roblox. Tooooo lagging!!!!!! For an older teenager or college student who has no interest in game whatsoever games, just web surfing and school work, it could be a good (not great) piece of equipment if not higher than $125, and that’s goes for all Chromebooks. Fixing to return it tomorrow first thing in the morning.

My kids' school requires that students provide their own individual devices (preference: Chromebook). They have a partnership with Best Buy to reduce the cost for one device per student. We ordered the lowest cost Chromebooks in the program using the school discount. My kids have only had their devices a month but they serve their intended purpose. Let's just hope the Chromebooks hold up and last them through their high school years, since the discount was only valid one time for each student. Still an expensive school supply to ask families to provide . . . what happened to the computer labs in a school?

Purchased through school program for one of our kids. Haven't had any issues with it.
