My experience with the HP Chromebook has been surprisingly positive, especially considering its budget-friendly nature. From the moment it arrived, the adequate packaging ensured it was well-protected. Inside, I found the Chromebook itself and the charging cable – everything you need to get started.
I'm typically not a fan of folded instruction manuals, but the one included was straightforward and to the point. It served its purpose perfectly for a quick overview of features, and I haven't needed to reference it since.
One of the first things that struck me was the exterior finish. It's a textured matte finish that feels great and, most importantly, doesn't show fingerprints. This is a huge plus for anyone who hates constantly wiping down their devices.
The port selection is excellent. The inclusion of an HDMI port alongside the USB ports is incredibly useful for us, as we frequently cast content to our television. This eliminates the need for adapters, which is always appreciated.
The keyboard is exceptionally comfortable to type on. It shares the same matte finish as the exterior, providing a pleasant tactile experience. It's also remarkably quiet. My only wish is that it were back-lit, which would make it perfect for low-light environments. The keyboard includes a search button, which has been very convenient and useful. I find it easier to use for finding apps and files than the Windows search function.
Setting up the Chromebook was a breeze. All my Google apps loaded quickly once I connected to my account, which speaks to the seamless integration with the Google ecosystem. I was also genuinely impressed with the browsing speed. Pages load quickly, and overall performance is smooth and responsive.
The cleanliness of Google Chrome OS is another major advantage. There's no bloatware, and everything feels streamlined and efficient. I also appreciate the lack of concern about hard drive storage, as most of my computing is done online.
Finally, the battery life is excellent. I've been able to work for extended periods without needing to recharge, which is perfect for on-the-go use.
Overall, the HP Chromebook delivers a solid user experience with its comfortable keyboard, fingerprint-resistant finish, and fast performance. While a back-lit keyboard would be a welcome addition, the device excels at its core function: providing a simple, efficient, and enjoyable browsing and online computing experience. This is a great everyday Chromebook!

As far as Chromebooks go, this was just ok for me. I feel for the price; this missed the mark though. The screen is not even full 1920x1080. It is 1366x768. I would expect this day and age to have at least a full hd 1920x1080 screen.
This is not touchscreen either. One reason I would think about a Chromebook is that they allow you to download mobile games. So, me personally I would want my Chromebook then to at least have a touchscreen. I would also want it to fold back so that the keyboard is behind it or could be used as a stand in a V shape.
This also does have 2 USB-A ports, an audio jack, an HDMI port and 1 USB-C port. However, the USB-C port is used to charge. I do not know why they did not provide another USB-C port that could be used while charging.
I just feel like I can get more out of a cheaper laptop or tablet so why would I want this. For the price point I also feel there are other Chromebooks that have more to offer as well.
The only couple good things for me, is that this does boot up fast and it is lightweight, slim and easy to pack to take with you. But I guess for me, I feel a Chromebook should be that happy middle point between a tablet and a cheaper laptop. Touchscreen, keyboard can be folded behind, better screen resolution. This does not have any of those things.

I've only had this chromebook just over a month. So far everything seems good. This is to replace a full sized desktop computer. I wanted something more compact.

Got this for my son for school and he has absolutely enjoyed it. We’ve had NO issues what so ever for the past 2 years. We did get the geek squad service but haven’t needed it yet on it.

A nice little Chromebook perfect for email or media while traveling or at home. A keyboard with a number pad would be a nice addition but the touchscreen makes it all worthwhile.

This chrome book is a great buy for your money. I just wish the letters and symbols on the key board were in black and white so I can see them better at night.
