This laptop is made from the cheapest low grade plastic available, The screen is extremely poor quality. Looks completely washed out and colorless. The laptop is also designed with planned obsolecense principles in mind, It cannot be easily taken apart to replace the HDD or other components without breaking the cheap plastic chassis.
I got this laptop on sale when it was only $200 and it's not even worth that much.
Absolute garbage.

Touch pad is not sensitive. You really gotta "tap" on it for it to read you. It's a pretty big laptop. I should have gotten at most the 14 and a half inch laptop. Screen resolutions....ok.

Purchased this laptop for my 13 yr old daughter. It was kept on her desk. She used it for homework and tried using it to watch youtube., The fan became noisy a few months in. The laptop was slow and crashed daily, then began overheating often. 18 mos after purchase, the motherboard is fried. Absolute piece of garbage. This is the 2nd HP laptop in a row I've purchased that has concluded with a poor ownership experience. Stay away from this particular laptop and you also might want to stay away from HP.

I purchased this machine a little over 10 days ago. I will be returning this today. Being able to log into the computer is very touch and go. Some times it will fire right up and I can use it. Sometimes after trying to long on for an hour I am not able to use the machine.

Laptop is underpowered for Windows. Spend a little more and get a lot more use for your money. I plan to turn it into a Linux machine. Hopefully I can get some use that way.

Overall appearance, weight, size and performance is just OK but not great. The speed of the computer is again OK but not very fast. For the price, it is an OK computerized.

Nothing more than a glorified tablet. It's not very good at doing any computer related tasks. If you just need to check email or Facebook and NOTHING else then this is for you!

Got the laptop because it was on sale for $200 and I regret it. It's super slow. You can literally only do one thing at a time, cuz anyone more and it'll start locking up.

I have always purchased HP laptops until this one. What a pile of rubbish! I have loaded absolutely nothing on this laptop but yet it is so slow. It's very cheap plastic, I have dog toys that are better quality. It spends more time "updating" than I am able to use it. If I had kept the box, it would be going back. Don't waste your money, so disappointed as HP products have always been so good, up until now. This feels so plastic & cheap. I won't be purchasing anymore HP laptops after this experience.

It is ok. Slow to boot and slow to operate. But, it is a budget machine. Used for basic web browsing and Google docs for my son in High School.

This computer is super slow, over heats, and the battery life is absolutely terrible. It dies with only an hour of use.

Windows PCs are Terrible

In the last 6 years, I've purchased at least 5 different HP laptops for myself and family members and I can sadly say that none of them are operable today. They are either having hardware issues or just completely fail to boot. This PC for instance was extremely slow right out of the box. And I'm not referring to the internet, but the actual response time when just maneuvering between windows and opening documents was just horrible.

I read the reviews before I bought, yes I was looking for an inexpensive laptop. The reviews weren't all bad so I purchased it not thinking it would die and have issues 8 weeks later. It would stay on and kept turning off after I hit the power button. Paid another 100 to geek squad to check this cpu and my older one. Geek squad said it was the motherboard and shipped it away to HP. Supposedly it was the power button and not the motherboard. We'll see, so please do not buy it.

Not a good product for a serious computer user. Slow. If you have nothing better to do than get frustrated waiting for something to come up this would be ok.

Seems like this laptop has trouble starting. I never know when it is going to start up. Once it is running it seems ok for the little that I have used it so far.

Used the computer less than one hour. Tried to turn it for the third time since I bought it and wouldn't turn on. I had it 30 days, took it to Best Buy and ended up that they have to send to HP for repair (motherboard or display), will take 15 to 30 days. I feel like I should have been given a new one since this one was obviously defective when I bought it new. I basically now will have paid full price for a brand new refurbished computer. Best Buy does not back their products.
