Bought this after my 4 year old Asus notebook retired finally. I read the reviews, seemed like it decent laptop for a good price, what could go wrong? This laptop is horrible, my budget Asus from years ago was faster than this processing until it went kaput. Bought it approximately 2 months ago for primarily 95% web surfing for research and job hunting, the other 5% is for streaming movies. Processing is incredibly slow, pause between web pages, waiting for pages to load, the browsers crashing constantly, I could go on forever(its not my wifi). Its just not a good computer because its incredibly slow, everything about it is slow. Other than that, its a nice size, screen resolution and layout is very good which is a shame because its impossible to use to its potential. If you need a computer for your grandmother or elderly parent and are on a budget, i'd say this is the way to go.

I was so excited when I ordered it online. I looked at the reviews and it was from yes to no then OK I'll try it out. The quality of the laptop isn't so great and I felt like it was going a little bit slow. I got what I paid for though. It's not that big of a deal since I don't need it for much but thought i should rate.

This is a good product, but it is little slow. I would recommend it to someone.

I just wanted an in-expensive laptop to carry around my house and inventory stuff. This seemed to fit the bill perfectly. It started up, took me through the Win10 registration with the Windows ID I use for my other windows computers, got to the start screen and automatically launched the Amazon App, then froze. CTRL/ALT/DELETE only showed "no apps running." So I went back to Best Buy. The clerk just non-chalantly said, "Yeah, most of these get brought back." The Geek Squad guy had to use some super -secret password to bypass the crashed windows OS just to get it to a point that it could be reset and erase my PIN, etc. So why seell these if even a few don't work, much less "most of these."

This computer is junk! It worked fine until the Windows 10 Anniversary update. After that, the wifi never worked right again. And HP support is useless. I have spent countless hours on the phone with them doing their troubleshooting and the laptop has made 2 trips to their repair facility, and it is still not working properly. I can only use the internet sporadically and the windows updates always fail to install. DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK!!!

Long battery life. Syncs well with other devices. Easy to read display. Have not had any problems with water.

I order it on online from the store because it's out of stroke in store. I'm so glad to get a laptop for $250.

I try to use this laptop once or twice a month and every single time I try to get on it we have an issue with it connecting to the Internet and usually takes around 30 minutes for it to start working. Do not waste your money... also the finger pad to move your cursor is rough so it will rub your finger raw in a couple of minutes. Worst purchase ever!!!!! I have had it now for about 9 months and I wish I never bought it. Pay more and go with anything else... I wish it worked as good as my phone did 10 years ago... it's worse than dial up.. I promise you will regret this purchase.

don't need a fancy pricey laptop, this one does email, word, excel smoothly. fits the bill.

I bought this computer , seeing the 4.3 stars and 91% customer recommendation rate. After some research I decided to buy. Seeing these reviews is much different than actually experiencing this computer. Eager to buy, this computer for photo storage, quick page loading, and the ability to multitask were my major reasons for buying this. I have now learned that absolutely NONE of these specifications or expectations have been met. Specifically, I needed this for the supposed "lots of storage" feature. That I did not receive. When first opened and turned on, the mouse/click pads were very stubborn. You have to press these buttons in the PERFECT spot in order to click on literally anything , making me press the buttons 4-7 times, trying to click the right spot. Going forth, I also wanted this computer for the way it is supposed to handle multiple windows open at one time. I CAN'T EVEN OPEN ONE. Also, I have an iphone and wanted to import my 9,000 photos onto this PC. It took 3 times restarting this computer til it finally uploaded all of the pictures. Come to find out, THEY NEVER EVEN UPLOADED. To be quite honest, I am not only upset with my order, but im hoping that this is just a deffective laptop; and not the brand itself . This is one of the biggest frustrations to deal with. Writing this review, I had to restart my computer, it froze, came back on, DIDN'T save what I typed and is now asking me to restart my computer AGAIN. This is why I have only used this laptop 4 times since I bought the thing. Maybe I could ask for a refund? or a second laptop in hopes that this one was a previous damaged one that got mixed in. Ive only had this laptop for 3 months!

The laptop is very slow (read minutes to save documents or find pages on the web) also very glitch. about every 3 or 4 minutes the system just stops and I have to wait for it to catch up. ( I do not type that fast) My WIFI works at normal speed for my work laptop. so it must be the system. I read the reports to the company and the tech passed it off as wifi speed. not true

The price is very nice but Image is not clear when playing video. The camera is not clear. My old Acer has better than this HP.
