I had issues with this computer almost immediately - browser windows wouldn't respond. I had this exactly one week and was out of town when the entire computer crashed and would no longer boot up. I had to go buy myself another computer because I work remotely, and the sales person at THAT store told me there are a lot of customer complaints with this model. Save yourself the aggravation and spend a few more dollars on a decent computer. This one is piece of junk.

Bought this laptop yesterday and is already slow. I haven't even downloaded any games or pictures. It also takes forever to log on. Very disappointed.

Not blown away by this computer. Load speed is pretty slow but it does what it’s supposed to.

Good specs... but poor performance.! Constantly crashing when using Outlook Email. Very difficult to get to reboot with recovery tools. Desperately needs a backlit keyboard. Too big - needs to be a 14 inch. Nice to have a built in optical drive. Considering buying the Lenovo 14 inch 2 in 1 360 degree flex.

Well I had this for less then 2 months and am taking it back tomorrow..when I close lid then go and open it ..I can not turn it on for like a hour...then it blinks to shut down...never had problem with hp computers.all I ever had....darn

I purchased this laptop as a gift for my girlfriend to use for work. I had high hopes that it would get the job done based on the 4.3/5 rating and high customer approval, yet I was let down. She complained every day about the computer being extremely slow and sluggish. Even after I removed all the bloatware to the point where there was hardly any software on it there were still issues. Navigating web pages and doing work without the site crashing and losing your progress is very difficult. Everything seems to take forever. Buying was a mistake.

This had to be the worst laptop I ever purchased. I have had plenty of "budget" laptops and ALL lasted me a few years of happy usage. I don't play games on line and basically just wanted this to surf the web. Worked fine for just over two weeks. Best Buy only gives you 14 days to return computers and this last just over that. First it forgot my wifi password for no reason. No big deal just re-entered it and it seamed fine. Then a few days later it would not let me login using my "pin". Said it was invalid and wanted a password. always used my pin for two weeks trouble free before it decided to want a password for no reason. Poor quality and felt cheap. It became useless and now is a $229.00 waste of money. I will never purchase an HP product again. Learn from my mistake and move on to something else..

A worthless piece of junk. This product has not worked properly from the date purchased. Returned to BestBuy repeatedly under Geek Squad extended warranty. Was always returned and told it was repaired, but it always malfunctioned. Finally gave up on Geek Squad and took it to HP authorized service facility. They kept it a week, then called and advised that HP declined to repair it (still well within one yr warranty) because it was not a hardware issue. Geek Squad always advised it was a hardware issue. Paid a local computer repair facility $160 last week to repair this product, and they could not. Said it was defective and could not be repaired. Only thing to do now is toss it on the junk pile. Failing grade to BestBuy, Geek Squad and HP. I have always purchased HP products, but this was my last.

I purchased the computer at the beginning of January and by the time I got it home and up and running it was literally a day later. Right from start up it took 30 mins for it to tell me that the software was out of date and it needed to be updated. That update took over 2 hours and then it said it had another update which took over an hour. Then once it was done updating to took another couple of hours for it to actually work. Another huge issue for me is the way the computer keyboard and surrounding surface felt to the touch. It was more like a rough rock then a smooth surface. Very disappointing. Maybe I got a bad unit based on other reviews but seems to me it should work better than that even with the low price.

I received my laptop one day before Thanksgiving. I knew since it had an AMD processor that it wouldn't be as fast as an intel i5 or i7, but I did not expect such a slow computer. Loading new pages takes a noticeable amount, which would be fine, but if there is more than 2 or 3 tabs the computer becomes extremely slow. So much so, that I cannot use it. This is a horrible when one is trying to do research for class or does anything requiring more than 2 tabs. Watching shows is extremely difficult as it takes a long time to load page and load the movie. My recommendation is to start loading, go clean your entire house/apartment and by then, the movie should be loaded.

Bought this for my son for school. Very disappointed he needed the cd drive for school activities and it stopped working. I called hp and they went into my computer through an app called run after I told him no I would rather you tell me what to do as I do not want anyone in my computer. Then after an hour of my time tells me that sorry it's a software issue not hardware and you are only given 3 month warranty for that. If you want me to look at this further you will have to pay me. I was so irritated. Not going to waste my money on an hp again. Also to note we have purchased 3 hps in the past and they seem to just last a year soon after that they fail.

I bought this laptop because my old laptop died on me. When i brought the laptop home, it started off slow. At first i thought cause it's downloading , but then i realized it's the processor. It pretty bad, i'm trying to watch a YouTube video and it won't load. Also, on my old laptop it would take me 5 seconds to download chrome. But for this laptop it took about 5 mins and that's not including unnecessary buffering from the computer trying to install the Onedriver that SHOULD have been on the computer. Honestly, Don't buy this Laptop, i only had it for 2 hours and i'm gonna return it tomorrow. Overall rating i would have given it a half a star To be honest.

I owned this laptop for under 90 days since I needed for my work (self employed). It got the blue screen of death and I now need to send it to HP for a full reset. I'm without a computer for 15 days minimum and they told me all my information (for my clients) will be erased. I was stupid for not creating a backup but I never imagined I would need to this soon. Word on the internet is this is common amongst windows 10 so not going to totally blame this on HP. Just know I've read it's been happening all over and you probably want to do some research. I've owned lots of computers and laptops and this was a first

I'm use almost 2 weeks and the laptop was below expectations, both in performance and in the quality of the material. The touchpad too bad. Spend a little more and buy a better one.

I purchased this laptop after my older one broke however it seems that I was better off with the broken laptop than with this "new" one. It constantly freezes while I try to save my work on Word Doc and if I forget to copy what I had written down I loose all my work. Over all, I feel my dinosaur(Compaq) desktop computer is faster than this. My recommendation, DO NOT buy this if you're looking to complete work in. Or just do not buy it at all.

No Dual band Wifi and No Bluetooth Hp is really cutting corners i think Lenovo gives you more for the same amount of money you spent on Hp's

Don't buy this laptop...why? 1. Windows 10 home is bloatware loaded and means MS can update you anytime any place they want...awful...worse advertising is always re-installed 2. HP support online is from India and hopeless 3. RAM upgrade void your warranty, and both slots MUST have idetical RAM from same company or one type won't be recognized. AWful, awful esperience...run like heck and do NOT get this system

Would not recognise my USB interface for my music. Slow operation. Unable to use. Returning tomorrow.

This is by far the worst laptop I ever got when I got it it was very slow everything was slow even the internet browser wouldn't load up it had a white blank screen I do not recommend this product if you want a fast laptop look for some elsewhere because this laptop sucks. Can't browse the web, can't play games, and furthermore slow and bad quality.

I though this was good for my wife but is to slow freeze all the time updates are terrible and take to long sometimes freeze special when you open an app. I remove battery so it can start normal again but the problem kept going i had to return it. maybe mine came with defect , but cant have it.
