sub $400 touch screen with an I3 & 6GB ram is hard to beat. Not the fastest on the planet of course but a good solid unit for general use. Got it with Win 10 pre-installed to save the work of the upgrade. software is a little buggy still but that's what you get from Microsoft. we have an older version w/I5 chip and these 2 are very similar.
good value

I never thought I'd be able to get a super fast touch screen lap top for less than $400---- but I did! It's fully equipped and perfect for someone like me who uses it mainly for Internet and Microsoft products.

The touch screen is great. The camera on the laptop is not good at all. I like the amount of storage. Wish I would have gone with a smaller laptop. But it does what a laptop does and is very reasonably priced!

We were looking for a new Windows 10 laptop with 10 key pad and DVD drive for work. It needed to be quick, able to handle marketing tasks on social media and crunch some numbers. After some reviews we chose this one. Bought it online and picked up laptop in store same day, no waiting, good experience. Have been using computer non stop since purchase. No hiccups. Very low price with a touch screen. We are very happy with our purchase!

I've had my laptop for over three weeks now, and have had no problems with it whatsoever. No problems lagging or freezing for a few seconds like the other reviews. I am very happy with my purchase. The touchscreen is awesome and very convenient. It comes with windows 10 already installed. 1T of space for such a low price. Oh and it has disc drive cd/dvd burner which a lot of laptops don't have anymore. The black design is very nice looking, doesn't look cheap at all. I love the keyboard, typing is so much easier than any other keyboard I've had. The only possible flaws I can think of are the screen kind of seems faded, not as bright and clear as my last laptop, but maybe that's because its a touchscreen. Lastly I wish the keys lit up so I could type when I'm in darker rooms. Other than that, I highly recommend!

I needed to replace my 7 year old Dell XPS and didn't want to spend a lot of money for how fast technology changes and found this hp on sale for black Friday. Nice computer! Everything I need and like the touch screen and new features with Windows 10. Overall, a good computer for the money.

I chose this computer for the amount of memory it had and for the fact that it was a touch screen. The low price was also a factor and I am very happy with my purchase. I love being able to use either the touch screen or finger mouse pad. Definitely a great value!

We went looking to purchase an HP laptop and the rep stated there was a better HP at the same great price. So we got an upgrade from 750 to 1Tb and from not having windows 10 to it being already installed all for $400! Windows 10 is so much better than windows 8 ! It is more user friendly and mamagable. Laptop was an easy setup. We plan to purchase another one before this deal ends!

So far so good with this laptop. Had it for about two months and it has worked well. The touchscreen is responsive and accurate though it is not as bright as I would like. It is an adequately fast machine with a good amount of storage. The finish on the touchpad is wearing a little already but hopefully this won't create a problem. The screen brightness and the wear on the touchpad are why I marked it down.

I read the reviews and was very skeptical but mine has performed perfectly so I have no issues at the present time. I had researched for almost half a year and this represented the best bang for my buck. The salesman, Angel, whom I had been into see twice before I bought it was excellent and very patient with my research. He was outstanding.

This is a good value for a.Touchscreen Laptop with Windows 10. Although it has a Pentium processor, it is not the fastest machine around. If you mostly use your computer for email, surfing the web, and social media this is a good computer for you. If you are a power user or big time gamer, you may want something with a little more umph.

Got my as an open box item. So far, so good. It's good for what I needed-- my mother uses it for checking her e-mail and reading the news, as well as occasional YouTube use. It's quick and fairly straight forward. I was a bit concerned about it having Windows 10, but it actually wasn't a big deal for her, as her last computer was a chromebook. She would have stayed with the chromebook, but wanted a computer with a disc drive to rip cds. This was the best option, IMO, for something under $400.

I needed a laptop that had big enough screen that will allow me to do my work without compromising screen size while away from the office. Also, because I teach, as an adjunct instructor computer classes online, I needed a good size screen and the 15.6 fits just right. I was debating between a 17 inch and this one and I chose this one primarily because I was going to travel on a month long trip to Europe.
The performance of the i3 processor is very good for word processing, email, PowerPoint presentations and general computer use. While it is not as fast as the i5 or i7 it does the job without breaking the bank.
The display is very good, the size of the keyboard and the numeric keypad is good even for my fat fingers. 6gb of memory and 1 TB of storage for the price is a bargain. Throw in the touch screen, which by the way came very handy in cramped flights, makes this laptop very useful.
It went to London, Manchester, Leeds, Paris, Athens-Greece and a few other places and came back home to the US without any problems. I stored documents and a few thousand pictures. I used it in hotels, internet cafes, airport lounges, on the train from London to Leeds (yes the trains offer free WiFi on first class while traveling at speeds of 130 mph), in airplanes, in the car and many other places. I packed it in my back pack and in my carry on luggage along with my Nikon DX40 camera with its 55-200mm lens and they both survived the trip.
Sound quality of the built in speakers is OK. Sound through the headphones is great. The only problem I have encountered so far with the sound is with the built in microphone using Skype and I tend to think it is a problem either with Skype or the Windows 10 drivers and Skype. The microphone works fine in Adobe Connect and Webx applications and when I have something streaming from the internet like music or a live sports game, the mic works fine in Skype too! Go figure! There are no problems with Skype sound using a headset with a mic.
The Video camera is nothing spectacular recording video at 640x360p/30 fps. It is OK for Skype and other basic video but certainly it is not HD quality. Not sure if it is a limitation of the camera or the built in Microsoft Camera software.
The built in WiFi has worked flawlessly so far but there is not Bluetooth option.
Keep in mind that the OS is Windows 10 Home edition and as such you will get every update from Microsoft whether you like it or not shoved down to your system. So far, though, Windows 10 has worked with no problems. It even found the wireless printers at my relative's house, connected and printed with no problem and without having to download any printer drivers.
For a consumer grade laptop, it is amazing how little bloatware there is on it.
So far, it gets 5 stars for the price and the features you get from a budget laptop. You will be hard pressed to find another laptop with a 15. 6" touch screen, 1 TB Hard Drive, 6 GB memory for that price.

Great laptop with touchscreen ability, which is so nice to have at times. I like all he features and enjoy Windows 10. I gave it a 4 instead of 5 due to approx. 4 hr. battery life - I think the specs said it was longer. You'd think after putting men on the moon in 1969 someone could figure out a way to increase battery life...but I'm used to it from any laptop I've ever owned.

I recently purchased the HP - 15.6 Touch-Screen Laptop - Intel Core i3 with 6GB Memory - 1TB Hard Drive. I could not be happier with my purchase. I especially love the touch screen. I needed a laptop with lots of memory and at a fair price. It came with Windows 10 and so I am learning to use it. The laptop is very lightweight and is sleek and good looking. Thanks HP

I came in looking for a different laptop, but once I tried my first choices out, I started looking at other display models and really liked this HP. The keyboard layout is great and the functions buttons have everything I need (volume/mute, brightness adjustment, skip/play/pause music, and airplane mode). It's super lightweight for the size and it has a CD/DVD drive on it, another requirement on my list! I wasn't looking for a touchscreen, but this is a great value for a touchscreen laptop as a lot of the ones I saw were at least $200 more than this one.
I mainly use it as a personal laptop for word processing, web browsing, music/movie streaming, and some light graphics and web development, and it's worked great for all of those things.
I've had it for a little over a month now and I haven't had any issues. It runs great, can handle a number of open applications and browser tabs and the display looks amazing.
The touchscreen seems pretty resistant to finger prints, but the cover is NOT. I'm planning to put some stickers or something on the cover so I don't have to keep cleaning off my finger and hand prints! The CD/DVD drive does run a little loudly when playing a disc and the button to eject isn't the easiest to pop open. However, those are pretty much the only bad things I have to say, and those are pretty minor issues for me.
Overall, I'm very happy with it and would recommend to anyone looking for a laptop in this price range.

Such an upgrade for me. My old laptop is 10 years old but still works fine. Just needed more memory, speed, and storage. Seem to keep staying with HP products. Very affordable price at BestBuy.
