I purchased the laptop for my niece who is starting her freshman year of college. Due to the pandemic all classes are online. She absolutely loves it. It's "not too big, and not to small." The screen is large enough to be used as a 2nd monitor, yet the laptop is small enough to tote in an average sized backpack. The performance of the laptop is great and the price, BONUS!

I was in great need of an upgrade fast, and this computer delivered. Love the touch screen (its my favorite feature), and its super light compared to my older heavier laptop. My only drawbacks (which are small) is the fact that there are only two USB ports and they are very close to each other, and the on/off button is hard to press because its concave design

Over All its a very nice laptop , it was mostly very easy to set up , a little time consuming , its fast , , light weight , wish it had an optical drive on board , don't like having to attach a dvd drive ever time I have to put a disc in , very in convenient , the key board should be back lit , hard to see the keys , over all its a good laptop , but most HP's are .

The laptop works great it is similar to one I bought a few months ago for me. This one was for my wife. I would put 5 stars but the purchase experience with Best Buy was horrible. I bought online but pickup at the closest store was not available same day. No problem, except that in the next 2 days stock became available at two stores. I called BB customer service to see if they could change my order to allow me to pick up the laptop at the store. Apparently this was too complex for the service rep. He told me I had to wait several more days for my original order to be shipped. What utter nonsense when two stores near me had the same PC now in stock. So I then canceled my original order and then submitted a new order and picked up the same day. Ok not a problem but the original order also had Office 365 at a discount which I already received. By canceling the original order now there was no PC on the order and BB then removed the discount on Office 365. If BestBuy didn’t have store pickup I would not have an issue. But the supposed advantage of having a brick and mortar is lost if you can’t do a simple change to allow store pickup when stock becomes available. The whole process was a pain...

I purchased this to start working from home and it is great. I like that it has the full keyboard and also has touchscreen. It is not slow and keeps up with me working from a remote desktop. The only minor issue I have is I need to plug in after about 6 1/2 to 7 hours of work so it does not make it through a complete work day.

I thinks it worth the money, is not really expensive and makes its work with no problems: fast for office programs, can run some basic games, runs videos and movies perfectly. Very satisfied. I gave 4 stars since There was another model for same brand, almost same price but some better features and flip screen, but those were out of stock.

Bought this laptop as a replacement for an aged HP Notebook. It is much lighter in weight and a bit smaller even though the screen size is the same. The price for the 6GB RAM put it in line with a much more expensive computer. Very easy to set up. The USB ports are very close together so it can be a little difficult to plug in two devices at the same time.

I picked one of these up in an emergency replacement scenario for my boss. It's a very light laptop. The shell feels like any other competitor in this price range, it isn't the most sturdy shell but in this instance all travel of this machine is in a hard case so I wasn't worried about constant moving in and out of the office. The specs are great for general use of business applications and MS Office products, so multitasking is a breeze. I did slight preliminary testing after all installations of necessary software etc. before distribution as a live machine on our network, but the machine ran fast and met expectations with these system specs. For the price, you just cannot beat this unit. Fast performance, nice responsive touch pad and touchscreen with great colors. I would recommend for anyone looking for performance at a mid level price without breaking the bank. Great laptop.

Purchased this to replace an aging Surface. I thought about the Surface again, but for the price I could not justify the cost of a new Surface versus the price for this HP. I like the HP it does not feel as solid as the Surface, but performs well. This is not a high end laptop, but it has enough horsepower for what I need.

During COVID I have been purchasing dozens of laptops for my coworkers to use working from home. Since laptops have been in short supply during this time, I have purchased several different brands and models - basically whatever happened to be available at the time. Among all the laptops I've purchased at this price point (<$700), this has been the best performing, reliable and easiest to configure (we install Windows 10 Pro and some apps on them) of all I have purchased. The combination of the i5 processor, SSD, and the 12GB of RAM performs surprisingly well, even for our power users in Accounting. I would recommend this laptop.

I’ve had this laptop for almost 3 years- overall- works great. No issues as of now- I use it for mainly school work- or work related things- like zoom calls- . I don’t really use it for pure enjoyment- mainly my go to for work.

I have a gamer laptop and a regular slow laptop, wanted to give my kid the gamer laptop as a gift for being good and to enter her college year, leaving me room to shop for a new laptop.. The only 2 small complaints I have are the number of differing ports and the thinness or weightless-ness.. you would think what does that matter? well if you have multiple outgoing uses ( i have a microphone and extended display and a cooling fan pad and usb -wireless mouse) youll see that 2 usb ports and 1 hdmi and 1 other (I think USB 3.0 ? or USB-D ?) youll see that I am limited... I also do not like the weightlessness as it does not give it sturdiness , it feels very delicate... Other than that the processor 10th gen i5 and the gigahertz speed is great.. I love this laptop !!!!!! Great for usual users and light gaming gamers!!!!!! the touchscreen is a total BONUS and helpful but I do not use it often (thats just me)

Overall I have been pleased with the computer. Pretty good battery life, camera, operating system, widescreen as well as the touch screen feature makes it easier working from home. I am also happy with the price of this computer. Does all that is needed and then some after being used for most with the exception of gaming

Bought this for my 7th grade daughter to replace her school issued chrome book. She uses this for her remote classes. The chrome book provided a bevy of issues but all were resolved with this laptop. Headaches resolved. The laptop itself is fast enough and the screen size and resolution are just fine.

Great gift for father and father in law. It performs great. It's not as sturdy as the ones aluminum built (like macs), but the pricetag comes at a great value for what the computer is. May not be optimal for your middle school kid, but definitely a great option for adults or computers that don't leave the house much.
