Decent laptop but with lots of problem. The laptop was purchased in December 2024. I had ongoing issues with the laptop shutting down on me. At times, it was very slow. Recently the laptop stopped working and would not turn on. I brought to Best Buy , they told me I had to go to HP. It is still not working

My Information Technology career spans decades and I've always preferred a larger laptop screen and keyboard. Recent sales consistently price this model well below expected cost. This is for any general purpose tasks like Internet surfing, eMail, video streaming, Office (software not included), and can play SOME less demanding or older games depending on the requirements. Please be aware this ships in Windows 11 S Mode, so you will want to switch it from S mode into regular Windows 11 Home if needing to install anything not found in the Microsoft Store (apps). Normal minor fan noise occurs at times, but this system has fantastic top facing speakers that are surprisingly loud and clear compared to other laptops. The Intel Core-i3 and NVMe SSD drive provide swift performance on a budget. My only regret is no touchscreen or backlit keyboard but the pricing just can't be beat!

Man, this laptop is seriously a game-changer. It’s super fast and handles everything I throw at it without breaking a sweat. I love how lightweight and easy to carry it is, which is perfect for my on-the-go lifestyle. The screen looks amazing with vibrant colors, and the battery life lasts me through a full day of work and then some. Even when I’m running demanding apps, it stays cool and quiet. The keyboard’s comfy for typing out long documents, and the build feels really solid. It’s been a fantastic purchase so far, and I’m totally happy with it.

Good computer, with 1 major drawback - "S Mode" (ie HP completely deciding what you can and can't install on your computer). S Mode can be disabled with a few extra steps, then the computer truly is a "best buy" - nice big screen, good memory and very nice price!

While on vacation to Arizona, the ancient laptop I brought along to edit photos just wasn't cutting it, so off to the local Best Buy in Flagstaff. I found this model on sale for about $200 off, along with the 17 inch screen...it was quite the bargain. I like everything about this laptop...it's nothing really fancy, but it works well for photo editing. I ended up downloading Corel for a photo editor, and I like it much better than Photoshop Elements that I have been using on the home desktop. A great buy for a good general use laptop.

I went into Best Buy looking for a laptop for college. I came across this HP 17.3” and instantly loved it. The bigger screen makes things a lot easier to read. It’s easy to navigate and it is super quick on loading stuff! I honestly like it better than MacBook!

I bought this HP computer to replace an old 17 inch HP pavilion laptop that is over 10 plus years old that I was using to work from home. It began to take too long to open the internet browser and log into Citrix. So, I bought this one that is at the price range I was willing to pay for my work from home laptop only and use my MacBook for personal use. It’s basic, but it works well for what I need it for and opening up the internet browser is much faster than my old HP. I’m pleased with it and I love the 17.3 inch screen which is helpful especially working with Excel spreadsheets.

This is a great laptop at this price point. Love the large screen. Laptop is thin and light. Battery doesn't impress. Not a huge problem, just don't expect it to last all day.

Great laptop, i wanted the 17.3 16gb memory, 500 Gb-SSD but this one does everything i need and fits my budget perfectly, cast to tv perfectly, just press windows logo + k, had for about a month now no problems!

I have been look for a HP 17.3 screen computer for a long time. When I seen Best Buy had this one in my price range. I couldn’t believe it. It was just what I was looking for. It had all the features I want mainly the big screen. It had the memory, speed and everything else I was looking for. But I couldn’t believe it had all that for the price. I would highly recommend this computer to any one. Who looking for a computer.

This laptop is very user-friendly, with fast speed, a large screen, perfect for graphic processing, and also lightweight and thin. I highly recommend it.

Really good so far. My old all-in-one gave out and I was undecided on replacing it or purchasing a laptop. Glad I chose laptop for mobility around the house. Startup was simple, recovering my stuff was pretty seamless. I never used the touchscreen on my last model, so this is perfect for me. No problem recognizing my peripherals. The one feature that is missing is a backlit keyboard. Its fast and sturdy too

Bought to get through school, it just gets the job done. The large screen helps those of us with poor eyesight or who can't afford a dual monitor. Battery life has never lasted nine hours. Ever. Always bring a charger. I sit and do school work for hours on end and not once has it ever lasted more than four hours.

I needed a new laptop for school and this one fit the bill perfectly! The 17.3" screen is wonderful because I can use the split window function and view 2 documents that are practically the size of an 8x10 paper. It's speed is awesome and functionality is by far superior to other brands I have used in he past. The price fit my budget and I could not be happier with my new HP laptop!
