I bought my wife the HP 17-by3613dx 17.3" with i5-1035G1 / 8gb / 256gb NVME drive and I must admit it is alot better than I expected. It runs circles around her old HP Pavilion G7 17.3" with Amd A6-3400m and runs MUCH cooler. It has NVMe hard drive also which makes it boot/read/write very quick and snappy. Both the NVMe hard drive and RAM are upgradable without too much of a hassle. It even comes with a built-in DVDR drive which is hard to find with new laptops nowadays. We both still use and burn to optical media for archival purposes. It is quite lightweight considering it's size. For $504 at Best Buy (open box deal, but it wasn't even touched) it was a superb deal. It blows away the old HP G7 that she had. She has it setup in dual view with a 2nd 24" monitor through the HDMI port running @ 1920x1200 75hz and she can play her all of her favorite online games webpage based games and also simulation games like Build-A-Lot series, Gardenscapes series, The Sims series etc just fine. We haven't tried anything like GTA5 on it yet. I wasn't really expecting alot considering that there is no dedicated GPU and the CPU base clock, but I am very pleasantly surprised. This laptop will be good for years to come.

I love the laptop. But the only issue is the keyboard it doesnt type accurately it's not always responsive. BUT other than the keyboard issue the laptop is great and good speed love the big screen.

Given it was the pandemic and my hard drive failed, I was desperate to get a new computer remotely. The consultant sent me 3 options and we talked. However, in my haste I only made sure the computer had similar memory and totally forgot about data capacity. When Geek Squad tried to do the data transfer there wasn't even enough room for my files (stored on a personal directory and not Documents or Pictures). Since this was all remote, it was recommended that the data be put on an external drive but the cheaper 1TB external wasn't on hand. Anyway, they transferred the data and I got my new computer with not much storage (about 237-255 GB). So, if you're a data hog, like me, and don't want everything up in the cloud, be forewarned computers are getting less versatile when it comes to storage. Point in its favor: it does have a dvd drive.... thank goodness for that feature.

I love this laptop. Super light, super fast and it has all the bells and whistles while sacrificing nothing! It really doesn't "feel" that big because it is so light. Wouldn't trade it for anything. And, thank you to my awesome PC expert Mike Brude in helping me choose the best option.

This is a very awesome laptop! It is worth the extra money to invest in it. Great for Games(which I wanted it mainly for Diablo 2, but now realized it is a fantastic laptop for EVERYTHING. It’s super fast and all apps and extras download super fast and it’s so easy to use 10/10 5Stars

Let the buyer beware this comes with the S mode, Microsoft's way of getting you to use their apps exclusively. You can change out to standard windows 10 home, easily enough if you are familiar with computers. Overall it was a good buy. Bought for my mom, who likes it.

I bought this as a replacement for the one I had since 2010 and I really like it the size is perfect for watching videos and streaming movies and very light weight I would recommend this computer to anyone

This is my third laptop I have ever owned. I decided to retire my last one after I had used it for 10 years. I like the larger screen and numeric keyboard. I don’t play games nor do I watch many movies / videos . I thought the sale price of 500 dollars was reasonable.

Only laptop today with DVD drive. I don't care it's a hard plastic case, metal is $500 more and no DVD. You can buy protection if you're worried about dropping it or something. I did, not expensive. Super fast start up. My needs are minimal so it is PERFECT for me... if you have very advanced needs you may want to compare but for just over $550, worth EVERY PENNY! I also love the large screen.

I purchased this laptop for my mom who is in her late 60's and is reasonably tech savvy. She set it up, loaded Microsoft and is off and running! She loves the screen size and that it's lightweight. Definitely scored points for Mother's Day this year!

I am very pleased with this laptop. Has a 17" screen, so easier to see, the keys are easier to read for someone with bad vision. The laptop itself is not too heavy when moving from room to room. The only thing I do miss is the touchscreen at times. On a final note, my cat also likes to walk across the keyboard, occasionally typing a "message" or putting me in airplane mode. LOL.

The wide screen on this laptop makes it ideal for watching movies and videos. The jet black color enhances its sleek design. The processor is fast, which helps significantly when downloading new programs. This is a computer that can appeal to a beginner and the tech enthusiast.It’s decently priced too.

I wanted a new, faster laptop computer and the sales person was extremely helpful. He assured me that the one I purchased (which I am using to write this message) would be much faster than the old one which I had purchased about five years ago. He was correct! I am so glad to have this new laptop. As far as your product quality and service are concerned, I am extremely impressed. Shortly after getting the laptop, I also decided to buy a digital camera and the associate who helped me was also extremely valuable in making my decision. I recently took a photo of a spectacular sunrise in Pasco and posted it on Facebook where it received more than a few likes. In short, I am a happy camper!

Just received it 2 days ago. It was easy to set up. I did have to get help from the Geek Squad to set up the Webroot and the agents also helped me with my emails. I am not computer savvy so it is worth it to me to use their expertise. Loved getting the computer overnight UPS free of charge. I am not sure about the all black look but that is a minor thought.

I wish that this model had more storage than 256gb. I like it that documents load pretty fast. I have multiple pages open at a time. Along with zoom sessions. The computer has only froze a couple of times during class time with multiple pages open. I would recommend this computer if you are working from home or doing online classes.

Excellent touch on the keyboard. I would suggest that you buy a separate camera (and mic - depending on your needs) for streaming: as you should with almost any laptop. Fantastic images on the large screen. Stylish design and amazingly light for its size.

I recently purchased an HP 17.3" laptop computer to replace my old PC that had ceased to function, The laptop has plenty of memory, power, and speed for the few tasks I need to complete on it. Having never used a laptop with it's various features and different keyboard, it's been a learning curve to adjust to it's idiosyncrasies from my old PC. The machine is of high quality and was a great value. I would definitely recommend it for anyone seeking a moderately priced laptop with a decent array of features. My wife and I particularly like the larger screen which makes viewing print and photos much easier for our older eyes. T The Geek Squad helped us set the laptop up, but I have an issue with why it took nearly 2 weeks to transfer old files from my PC, download current programs and update others. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and the quality of the product, having done my research before I made the purchase. Best Buy had the largest selection of available laptops and a very competitive price with the added bonus of having live people to talk to in person vs simply ordering the unit on line and having it shipped.
