Extremely versatile. Excellent battery life. Picture quality is sharp. The speaker quality is decent. There are a few minor bugs, but that's to be expected with such a new item on the market.

HP has proven that Chromebooks are the future. I had a Samsung Chromebook 3 and an Acer 13, but this one is absolutely the best of all. The display is amazing, and it's very high quality build. Not to mention the Free stylus you get. Worth the money.

I have been looking for a big tablet for reading, and this is perfect (and substantially cheaper than an ipad or surface for this size); With the included keyboard, it makes a decent laptop; plus, can run Android and full Linux apps !

I bought this after giving my daughter my Mac book. I work on a PC at work and needed something at home. While I am still getting used to it I love the size, the fact that the tablet detaches, and the general ease.

So far this Chromebook has been great. Im not a huge net surfer or a person who games on anything other than a console so this is good for me. I enjoy the illuminated keyboard.

I bought this 2-in-1 to take on a trip to Europe and the size is perfect - easily used on the airplanes in coach and plenty of battery life (used it non-stop on a 7-hour flight and still had plenty of power left.

This chromebook does it all. Battery life is awesome. Love that it detaches from keyboard for a tablet experience. Touchscreen is not perfectly responsive.

Main reason I purchased was due to the detachable keyboard which is great. It can be a bit unstable in tablet mode when switching between apps. Chrome os is missing some basic functions such as a sleep function which i'm used to having in my apple laptop which i feel should be standard. For the price a backlit keyboard should be basic. Aside from that its a beautiful device, noticeable quality. I use it mainly for school purposes. I would recommend it based on the detachable keayboard/tablet option. still feel that chrome OS is missing some basic features.

I had good help from the salesperson. I wanted the ease of transfer from my old Dell to this new computer, but I also wanted the security of an Apple product. So far, this Chromebook fits the bill.

    Tablet vs Laptop

This is the product you want if you can't decide between a laptop and a tablet. Because the Chrome OS now supports apps, this can function as a tablet when you want to consume information and slides into the keyboard when you want to create information. This version is the fastest or the most memory. This is for someone who needs both and can get by with this compromise. If you need a full-fledged Chrome OS laptop get the Pixel Book. This is my travel computer as it does everything I need when I am away without the need to take 2 devices.

The keyboard is very responsive and a bit heavy. That heft doesn't bother me because I use it as a tablet 90% of the time. It is a solid Chromebook and I look forward to using it for years to come.

It kind of started having problems...

It was great when I purchased it, fast, easy to use. The only problem is that after 2 years it started to have problems, the screen would glitch black for a few seconds, websites would crash, sometimes the keyboard (which is detachable) would not register when I typed. The charger broke after a year and a half, but I bought a new one so easy fix. This computer does not run Steam, Adobe products or Microsoft office products very well. They are either very slow or crash or in the case of steam or any online gaming basically not gonna happen. So buy at your own digression.

I got this for my 10yo daughter for Xmas and she loves it. Not a lot of memory and one design flaw is the SD card doesn’t insert flush so it seems like it could get damaged.

I have used an Acer 13 for about 2 years and it did everything I wanted but I hated having the keyboard there all the time. This unit is a little heavier but well worth it.

    Solid Chromebook

The HP Chromebook X2 is a solid performing Chromebook while being a good value as well. At first, I was a little concerned that the M3 processor wouldn't be powerful enough. But after using it for a couple of days, it held its own for general browsing, email, and office work. The keyboard, though not backlit, is easy on the hands for a portable machine. Of course, one of the main features is the detachable screen that converts it into a tablet. This might be useful to some people for watching movies, shows, playing games or reading when you’re not doing much content creation. Because it double as a tablet, that means the screen contains the processor and memory. That makes it top heavy when using it a laptop and if it's pushed back too far, it will fall backwards. The other highlight of the Chromebook is the included pen. Besides being an input device, it has other utilities like magnifying lens, laser pointer (not a real laser, just makes it easier to see where your pointing on the screen), and screen capture. Unfortunately, the pen is held in place by an outside loop on of the right side of the keyboard. It can get caught on objects when pulling the machine out of your bag. Overall, this is a solid option for anyone needing a Chromebook.
