Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the excellent picture quality and smooth refresh rate, making it ideal for gaming. Many appreciate the monitor's affordability and ease of setup. Bought for console

So purchased this on a doorbuster sale. For the specs and the price, I just couldn't pass on it. As of writing this review it went back to its original price and man am I glad I picked it up. I currently game on console, an Xbox One S. I was using an old Samsung 720p 32" tv. I love that tv to death but wanted to see what all the fuss was about when it comes to the updates on the Xbox One S regarding refresh rates and such. Seeing how this monitor is 144hz and 1ms response time, I figure I'd jump on it and have something future proof in case I get a gaming PC. So after setting it up, I got on and checked out the settings. Put the monitor on Game FreeSync mode and was able to select the variable refresh rate settings on my Xbox, as well as run 1080p and 60hz. Thanks to the Xbox running AMD chips and the monitor having AMD FreeSync, they work hand in hand. Boy what a difference compared to a regular TV! It was night and day! I was playing Fortnite and my shots connected immediately. I highly recommend this monitor if you're on Xbox one S/X or on a PC.

I got this monitor on a whim. No doubt about the fact that the g-sync, 1ms, 144hz though. Its great display in of itself but I do have some complaints (Not on the actual display because it was good). I really got a bit bored of the green accents and would loved to have gotten a regular black monitor. I also bought this for 300+ dollars with tax. I just don't think it's worth that money. If you know your stuff its easy to navigate the monitor settings for things like turning on 1ms latency but for those not too savvy with that stuff it may take some google searches. Setting it up is easy out of the box instructions are clear.

Was looking for a good dual monitor set up for my girlfriend and this really hit the sweet spot. It was $150 each. Now, while i'm particularly not a fan of the green accent lighting, 144Hz monitor for this price by HP was hard to pass up. 1 month in, no dead pixels, no flickering and still going strong. The only downside is there are no built in speakers, but they're never used anyways so there's that.

This monitor is a killer, it took my gaming experience to the next level. It is a cheap affordable monitor that can compare to the more expensive ones with hardly much difference. The screen is nearly edge to edge, and I can move it to whichever position I like The one con I have with this monitor is that there is no built in speakers. But if your gaming you'll be using your headset most of the time anyways so no biggie.

HP appears to have hired some talented designers recently, as their complete lineup of products offers slick aggressive design HP 25x is not an exception. Sharp corners and almost no bezels are the cherry on top of already impressive specs. Full HD - Check 144Hz - Check FreeSync - Check What else may a routine gamer need. For the price this monitor is offered by Best Buy, there is probably no better deal

Very happy with this purchase! Screen is vibrant and bright and the 144hz screen is amazing. Never going back to a 60hz screen again! Users may need to modify the screens settings to get an even better picture, but out of the box it looks great. Be sure to tuen on freesync in the monitor settings. Was lucky enough to get this on sale, but would purchase at full price over lower priced monitors.

When I purchased this monitor, I had done tons of research! This was a great choice because it's perfect for gaming, my graphic design, and editing work! Great sleek design as well as adjustable options like tilting the screen, rotating it, and chaning the height of it! Definitely buying another for me setup.

I returned an Asus monitor and paid a small difference when this was on sale for $200. What a deal. So far, it has been great. I am able to freesync and get 144hz for a cheap deal. You will need have to buy a display port cable to enable AMD freesync for non AMDs gpu. Other than the ports, the display is great. The 1080p is perfect for now until I upgrade to 4K in the future. The monitor is quite pricey if you are in a budget but buy it when it goes on sale.

Originally i owned the ASUS VG245 Freesync panel and this one performs just the same with added benefits to boot as well. Freesync on this panel essentially acts like Freesync2 just without HDR, though to be honest after a little tweaking you get great color out of this screen either way. Ultimately I am using this on a Nvidia GTX 1060, and so far the "adaptive sync" function works just as expected, however i cannot tell if LFC actually is working correctly or not. I do not notice any graphical tearing and there is smoothness with a 144hz display, however ultimately unless i truly had a AMD card, i can't fully test this monitor out to its fullest. Its picture quality and overall function is great and there hasn't really been any issues. Seems to be a winner in my book for G-sync compatibility

Super easy to set up and use. I got 144Hz right away without any issues on my PC. I didn't need any additional accessories. I tested all settings in gameplay and the monitor was spot on. https://youtu.be/kbN20-EYv7o I will say the viewing angles aren't amazing. But it was good enough for an intro gaming monitor.

I recently purchased this product. It was on sale so I got it at a great price which was a big plus. This monitor definitely performs at expected level as far as gaming goes. Only issue I have sometimes is the green lights around the bezel. Besides that it is a great monitor! Great for work and gaming!

This is a great monitor if you can only afford a mid range gpu. Most modern graphics card should be able to push games past 100fps and with freesync enabled makes a huge difference over 60fps on a tv with console. Only reason I returned mine was because my graphics card constantly ran at 144fps and could handle the extra resolution.

Bought this during a sale , and enjoyed it. Great monitor for the price. This was my first 144hz monitor, and it didn’t disappoint. I ended up returning it to get a 240hz monitor . But you couldn’t be the sale price on this hp at that time . Nicely built, great quality , and has an underrated monitor stand.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas and he loves it. The picture quality is amazing. The refresh rate is great and the settings are easy to use. The stand is a nice sturdy construction and the green light along the bottom is pretty neat. I recommend this monitor highly. I'm glad I bought this one.

This monitor is the perfect size for my desk. It's not too big or small. The picture quality is great. The graphics are very clear and so far there have been no issues. My only thing is I wish the green light changed colors, but that's just me being nitpicky.

This monitor has everything I was looking for: very good straight on viewing for activities like word processing, programming, surfing, excellent for action viewing of games and action movies, good connectivity with HDMI and Display Port, and very reasonably priced. It does not have excellent viewing angles like an IPS screen, but that was not important consideration since I my office, I'm always looking straight at the monitor.

Got this on sale for $220. I expected lower than advertised refresh rates and the colors not to be as smooth as they were. I was very impressed for how the is monitor performed, too. On top of that, it is compatible with Nvidia Freesync which not many monitors are, which is also a huge bonus.

Amazing color display, all the colors look vivid and bright. Overall a very nice monitor. Pros: 1. Extremely bright - had to lower to about 50% and was still out lighting my second monitor at full brightness. 2. Anti-Glare - lots of windows in my apartment / room.. makes gaming so much better. 3. 144hz. Using GTX 2080 and no tearing or stuttering with Nvidia Cards (NEED DISPLAYPORT) 4. Monitor Menu full of useful features. 5. You can tilt and adjust the monitor into any way you see fit. Cons: 1. Green LED - wish it could be full RGB. 2. Only comes with HDMI. Overall, super pleased and an amazing addition to my gaming set up.

I love this monitor the 144hz refresh is so good when it comes to gaming. I’ve noticed the difference from 60hz to 144hz immediately. I highly recommend this monitor. It’s great for gaming and browsing. 24” inches is the sweet spot and does the job.

Lag free a gaming superiority! I purchased two of these for my sons and they love them. I thought the coolest feature was they can adjust vertically so that you are at exactly the right viewpoint. Phenomenal picture quality no dead pixels and Killer refresh rates.
