this was a great display... until it wasn't.

Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this is a great inexpensive display and worked flawlessly for a year and a three quarters, and then it just stopped functioning properly. when i wake the computer (which is new btw) from sleep, i get faded colors, or total distortion, and sometimes just snow. i have to unplug the display from power, or unplug the hdmi cable and plug it back in order to get it to return to normal... which is disappointing to say the least. while it was not very expensive, i'd expect a product to last longer than this, especially from a company like HP. needless to say, i won't be replacing it with another display from HP, i need my tech to last a while.
