Awesome clarity, color, and definition!!..until...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The monitor started giving an error message that the resolution was incorrect and driver was not available. Then, two days later it stopped all together and would not even turn on. oops, something wrong here. Taking it back tomorrow. Stay tuned for further developments.

Returned it.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The monitor flickered constantly. It drove me nuts. I started researching online and it appears that this is a common issue for this monitor. I returned it and got an Acer and have not issue's since.

Good price, bad quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this monitor, was happy to get it home. Set it up, had discoloration and banding along the top 1/3 of the monitor. Swapped out cables, hooked it up to a laptop and desktop to make sure. Unit was defective. Going back.

Great Monitor, but get it on sale.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This monitor is huge for anyone coming from 24 in monitors and below. You will love how big and vibrant the display is. It is also very thin as well which is very visually appealing. Personally coming from a 23 in 1080p TN monitor, I came to love this monitor a lot! Definitely lower the brightness on the guy as it will burn your retinas out. The only thing keeping me from 5 stars is that at 27 in is just the sweet spot for 1080p. I can definitely see the pixels more in text than I did on my other monitor. Everything is still bright and vibrant. DON'T go no more than 27 in at 1080p. If you go any larger, you will definitely see more pixels. 27 in and above should go for 1440p or higher. I got lucky and got the monitor on sale for 130. It's not worth anymore than 170 max. Pros: - Bright and vibrant display - Great quality - Big display Cons: -At 27 in 1080p, text are as crisp as it could be. If you have the money, always go for 27 in or higher at 1440p or higher resolution.

Poor quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The monitor itself was beautiful. But the screen was dark and not bright. It made everything look dull and ugly. I was very disappointed.

Excellent choice
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This seems to be the great choice, perfect size to run two side by side windows for general work and large enough screen for drawings. Resolution is good, I really did not needed 4k since my graphics card would not have supported 4k, quality is great, it is sleek and really thin, do not take much space on desk, have standard as well as two HDMI input, excellent value for the price.

Great display
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded from a 24" widescreen monitor to this 27" HP monitor and I'm impressed! PROs + Impressive display and color + IPS means that colors don't looked washed out at an angle. + I could not find any dead pixels on my unit + 2 HDMI inputs and 1 VGA input. + The silver finish compliments my Mac Mini very well. CONs - The power button is also located under the front bezel instead of on the front, so it's a little more tricky to reach. - Colors are a little darker than I'm used to, even at the maximum brightness and contrast settings. - No DVI input. OTHER THOUGHTS Just note that the maximum resolution is 1920 x 1080, so if your current monitor already does this resolution, this monitor will just make everything bigger (you won't be able to fit more stuff on the screen).

Great, big screen monitor
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a terrific monitor for computers that can utilize HDMI HD graphics. This monitor has NO speakers and I have 2.1 stereo powered speakers w/sub so I didn't need a monitor with speakers as I would never have tried built-in speakers. The next HP 27" monitor offered for an extra $50 over this monitor simply has built in speakers. No other noticeable difference for the money. So a no brainier for me to get the monitor with NO SPEAKERS and save some money. The picture is nice and crisp with no trails or blurring. I'm happy I grabbed this on sale for $145. Remember,. The other more expensive HP monitors charge more because of built in speakers that this monitor doesn't have and I didn't need. A great buy.

Nice Display, wish it had more features.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: The style looks great and is sleek and thin. Would compliment a Mac style setup without a doubt. Picture is fantastic and crisp. Great display for the money, especially on sale. Cons: No Vesa mount, which is understandable given how thin it is, just wish I would have paid more attention when I bought it. Stand also doesn not adjust at all so, where it is, is where it is. I also found the stand kind of flimsy for my needs. It would shake a lot with any motion on the desk. Sadly, I'm probably going to need to return it just based on no VESA compliance, but still gave it 5 stars as the picture is very nice, as is the style.

Great monitor...a must buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this unit when it was on sale. Should've bought 2, 3, or 4 or whatever number Best Buy let me. Good picture quality compared to LG. There's no speaker that I am aware of. Wish there were one(s). Nevertheless, it does the job. I would recommend this unit as long as it is less than 200 bucks.

Great monitor for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an outstanding monitor for the price. The display is vibrant, the base is sturdy and it looks good on the desk (very thin panel). For 1080 gaming it is a quality deal. I was using a 23-inch IPS 1080p display and bought this on sale for 149. All the visuals just "pop" on this display. Gaming is more immersive. Other activities are just better as well. I am getting older so it helps to have things a little larger and more clear. This monitor fits the bill. If you can still find it for 149 then don't delay. It will be sold out soon. Just be aware that the monitor only has either HDMI (2) or VGA connections. I can't imagine anyone using the VGA because of the signal degradation, so that is useless. So you must have a video card that does HDMI out. My GPU had DVI and DisplayPort interfaces, no HDMI, but luckily I had a DVI to HDMI cable sitting around for some reason. The monitor DOES come with an HDMI cable so you don't need to buy one if you can use it. But if you need an adapter factor that into the price. Also, it does NOT have any VESA mounting holes so if you want to put it on an arm or on the wall you are out of luck.

Wow, just wow.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I came across this deal over the weekend and after some research on current monitor offerings. I decided to go with this monitor to replace my two 6 year old 21" Dell monitor's. I run a dual monitor setup with my MacBook Pro, so I snagged two of these over the weekend and picked them up today. Setup for both with default setting took all of 20 minutes. I'm very impressed with how thin the screens are, the quality I'm getting with the 1080p display setting and also how durable the stand is which is made of metal and not plastic. I don't use these for gaming, but so far I have no issues with them being 60Hz watching videos, movies and doing graphic design. I'm still tweaking my settings and I find that colors are sharp and blacks are crisp. I've also had no issues with viewing angles. I saw one review that noted there are no internal speakers, that is correct however not an issue for me since I use a bluetooth subwoofer paired with a bluetooth speaker for my sound. This model tilts but is not height adjustable but no issue for me as they line up fine for how I'm setup ergonomically at my desk. Also keep in mind that this model does not have VESA holes for mounting in case that is something that you are looking for. HDMI cables are included. If you're on the fence, the current price if still on sale is a great price, especially if you run a dual setup.

Great monitor, but get it on sale!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well when I say great, it's really not all that great, but if you can get it for $150 or less then it's a great monitor! The colors and viewing angles are wonderful. How do they even make something so crazy thin?? At 27" I don't notice individual pixels like I thought I might. I game a little bit on this monitor too and the blacks are better than my late TFN monitor which I greatly appreciate and I don't notice any noticeable lag. A couple of bad things about it, when my computer turns off the screen, but the computer is still on the screen turns black but not off. When the computer goes to sleep or is powered off the monitor will turn off. What this means is that at night you'll be able to see the light bleed (I can't see it during the day). Light bleed on my screen is not uniform, the bottom left and top right are brighter. I was concerned when saw this but I really can't tell a difference when the screen is on. Also the stand isn't all that sturdy, I wish it was brighter, and the anti-reflective coating could be a little bit better. Overall though I think this is the best monitor when it goes on sale, but at it's regular price there are better ones out there.
