Awesome for the price!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was skeptical in purchasing this monitor because I have a 13" Apple MacBook Pro (Early 2015 w/Retina) and wanted a 4K Monitor. This monitor is good if you're using it to browse the web, watch videos, or for gaming (which is all I do). I would, however, jump to a 4K if you're planning on using it for graphic design or photo-editing. Other than that, shelling out $500 or more for a monitor isn't wise. I bought this monitor for $169.99. This was definitely a deal! I did see this monitor for $139.99 during the holiday season and should've picked one up then. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase.

An extremely stylish monitor with a sharp image
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I know some people feel 27" may be too large for a 1080p monitor but the price was right and I bought it. Firstly, the monitor looks amazing. The bezel on the top, left and right side is very thin with a slightly larger bezel on the bottom. The larger bezel as well as the stand appears to be brushed aluminum and it makes the monitor look very high end. The screen also has some gloss to it when looking at an angle but when looking at it straight on the gloss mostly disappears. As for the image quality, it is pretty good. I've watched a couple of movies and played some games on it and throughly enjoyed it. The only cons on the screen is that it struggles a bit with blacks, as do most IPS displays, and it isn't a 'gaming' monitor so the response time and input is a bit slow but still acceptable. The refresh time is also only 60Hz but since I am using a PS4 with it, that doesn't really matter. Another note, as with most monitors, it does not have speakers or audio out so you must get audio out of your PC/Console.

Great monitor
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This monitor is fantastic...especially for the price of $120! The image is nice and crisp, and the color controls are pretty easy to adjust. I'm using it next to the HP 27vx that I purchased from Best Buy last year. The screens line up almost perfectly, even though the framing is a little different. I was a little concerned about the silver as I think that usually looks cheap, but this is pretty nice. The base is not bad...the footprint is easy to work with...and while it doesn't look like much, it holds fine. I would recommend that it's on a stable surface; if your desk or table isn't sturdy, it will wobble.

No Issues, Works Great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought two of these bad boys at $149 each. Can't beat that. I'm not a gamer, and for my normal usage including some web video they look fine. My biggest monitor gripe is the menu buttons-- I have to put little labels on all my monitors so I can find and identify the buttons hidden around the edge of the display (and black-on-black to boot). This monitor is no different, with a row of buttons along the bottom edge. But the power button is offset a bit to the right, and THAT is labeled on the front: good. The other four are not labeled on the edge, but when you hit any of them the labels appear on the screen above each. Problem solved! As a dual display they work well: there is only a .9-cm border around the top and sides of the visible display (the physical edging is negligible). The display is thin, the mount is sturdy, the HDMI cables are 6ft and included.

Great monitor

great monitor for a good price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this as a second monitor. Picture is clear. easy to set up. And for the price, it couldn't be beat. I picked this one mainly due to price and I needed one that would connect via an HDMI cord.

Great monitor, though missing a few features
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I'm rating this monitor as if I had paid full price for it, not picked it up as a Black Friday purchase with gift cards to make it even less expensive. This screen from HP has a lot going for it. It's extremely stylish, very thin, has plenty of input options for a computer monitor, and the picture is great. It's bright, the black levels are good, and it doesn't ghost like some screens do. With all of its positives, it does have a couple of negatives that wouldn't necessarily be deal breakers for other people. First, it lacks DisplayPort and DVI. Second, there is no audio output for HDMI connections, so don't plan on using this screen for both your monitor and a TV screen with an external tuner. Third, and probably the biggest deal breaker for me, is the lack of VESA mounting points; most computer monitors come with a 75x75 or 100x100 pattern on the back for third-party stands or multi-mounts, but this screen does not. All in all, it's not a bad monitor. Not my favorite, but for what I paid for it, you can't beat the value.

Great monitor, incredible value!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At the sale price, this monitor is incredible value. The image quality is excellent. The screen is glossy but HP did a good job to ensure there's no glare. Text appears a little grainy at close up range but that's simply the physics of a large 27" screen and 1920X1080 resolution. You can adjust the softness to help but it's really not much of an issue at normal viewing distances. (higher resolution 27" monitors will cost substantially more). Setup is very easy and this monitor is really lightweight. My only complaint is that it has a VGA port and two HDMI's but no DVI port. If using DVI, you'll need an adapter.

Great Monitor for the sale price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While I did not react fast enough to the Black Friday sale price before it was sold out I am happy to have purchased it at the recent sale price which was not far off price wise. For a general office monitor not doing any fancy graphics or video editing work this monitor is a steal for this size and picture quality at the current sale price. I did a lot of research ahead of time and also had the opportunity to preview it in the store along side other options and am not disappointed in my purchase.

great for the price

Excellent, but check the specs first
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A good buy at $120, however, it only supports HDMI and VGA. (no display port). No Sound or USB. If you can live with its limitations then go for it. No VESA mount: the stand looks good, however the display is wobbly if touched. Because it is rarely touched: not an issue. It is clear that despite its good looks, HP design is wanting.

I just purchased it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just purchased this monitor and I was shocked with the quality for the price. It is a big step up from my previous monitor size which is nice because I can see more detail when I am working. I haven't tested it on gaming, but for what I will be primarily using it for (photo editing) it was an amazing buy for the price. It is extremely thin and lightweight. It has sharp detail and great color reproduction. It is not 4K, but it looks fantastic.

Best Monitor EVER!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a mac mini about a few months ago. I went to buy a monitor but I did not want a monitor that required DVI connection as I perfered to have an HDMI setup. I used my TV for a while as monitor but the quality was horrible. I looked around on Amazon first and before I submited my purchase to amazon I came to bestbuy and stummbled upon this monitor that was on sale for $150.00. The reviews seemed really great for this monitor plus its screen size was more than I wanted but deffinity came with a great price. The quality of these monitors is outstanding!!!! It is deffinitly a purchase that I feel great about. I had no issues with setup. A quick connection with the supplied HDMI cord allowed me easy setup. If you have a mac mini and are looking for a dual setup do not forget to get a HDMI to Display port because the mac mini only has one HDMI port. What I really like is that automatically when I put my mac to sleep the monitors say "Connection to HDMI lost" and then it goes to sleep. When I wake my mac it automatically wakes my monitor which is a feature that I was hoping worked! Before I always had to push a power button and this makes my life a bit easier. Overall I am really impressed with these monitors and if I ever needed to purchase another I would deffinitly go for these again!

Nice monitor, but not for text editing and reading
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Design and shape are very nice. Color is good, ultra bright. However, not a right size for text editing or office use, especially when you need read all day.

Fantastic monitor!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've very happy with my purchase! Looks great, performs great for text, gaming and watching video. People complain that it doesn't have speakers - when's the last time you found a monitor that had decent sound built in? I sure haven't! Presets make life easy and it's not overly heavy (meaning that it doesn't make my desk's shelf bow!). Overall great purchase! I just need another one now :-D

Great monitor! Great price!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I stumbled across this monitor online and noticed it was on sale for 140$!!! I was in the market for something bigger and thin. I purchased it online and to be picked up at the store. Within 30 minutes I was in the store picking it up. This monitor looks amazing! I actually use it for gaming and the games look great! The set up was really easy. No other tools needs to connect the monitor to the stand. The monitor tilts up and down. The only knock I have it that it does not have a dvi hook up. It is HDMI ( what normally people use ) and a vga. I use dual monitors so I use hdmi for this new monitor and dvi for my other one. If you can catch this deal for under 150$ I would do it! I think the normal price you may see for it is 250$.
