While the price could be slightly lower, this gives just enough for months (depending what you're using the ink for). Got a good amount of documents printed as well as photos.

I find it hard to judge. It costs more for new ink than it does for a new printer. I had a friend who would just buy a new printer whenever he ran out of ink. Why shouldn't new HP ink work with an HP Printer? I rarely use color. When given the choice I often pick B&W even for a color item unless I have a real reason to print in color. Ink lasts much longer that way. Also, I sometimes use draft quality for B&W for the same reason.

It is very helpful that I can order my cartridges on line and together as I do not live close to any stores that sell the cartridges I need. Plus the stores closest to me sell them at ridiculous prices. Love Best Buy.

The only problem I have with this program was understanding it. Now that I do, I highly recommend that if you print anything on a printer - sign up for this program.
The cost is per page - not how much ink you use. If you print a page with one character - that is a page. If you print an 8x10 photo - that is one page.
You do not have to worry about ink. The printer talks to HP Instant Ink and lets it know when the ink cartridges are running low. The ink is sent to your house and you return in the old cartridges in a prepaid envelope.
You can move back and forth between plans as you need from month to month.
IF you go over on a plan - you are charged the same per page amount as the plan you are on but have to purchase the page allotments in specific amounts ($2.99/50 pages = 15 pages for $1; $4.99/100 = 20 pages for $1; etc). BUT there is a rollover plan so you don't loose.
They help you trouble shoot if it is a software problem/installation problem and readily give you pages back used during the process.
I am so happy with the program. I don't have to worry about ink and the price is very reasonable. Thank you HP Instant Ink.
