It's what my printer uses and always has. It's from the company that makes the printer and it works as it should. I just wish it had more prints per cartridge

Disappointed with this purchase. Just print 15-20 pages and it’s stop working. Printer says black cartidge problem. Can’t return it because time is over. Spent Almost $23. Waste of money and time.
I am sorry to find that the cartridge didn’t last long for you. I can understand why you are disappointed.
Perhaps it was defective, however, it is a good practice to verify if the cartridges you receive are authentic. That is fairly easy to do if you check the things indicated at: hp.com/go/anticounterfeit

I recently picked up the HP 61 Standard Capacity Ink Cartridge in black, and I have to say, I’m pretty impressed with it. First off, installation was a breeze—literally pop it in, and you’re good to go. No hassle, no mess.
The ink quality itself is sharp and consistent, which is exactly what I need for everyday printing. Whether it's printing work documents or my kids’ school projects, the text comes out crisp and clean every time. I’ve noticed the black ink has a deep, solid finish, so everything looks professional.
In terms of lifespan, it’s decent. For regular home use, I didn’t find myself replacing it too often, which is a big plus considering the price. It’s definitely a reliable option if you don’t need to go for the high-yield versions but still want a solid, cost-effective cartridge.
Overall, I’d recommend it for anyone with a standard inkjet printer who needs a reliable, everyday solution without breaking the bank. It gets the job done and does it well!

I love using authentic HP products. The ink prints perfectly without smears. The cartridges load easily into the printer. I will definitely continue to purchase and use HP ink cartridges.

I love this ink it’s very easy to install and it’s not bad for the price! The delivery was super quick arrived in about 2 days. The ink last me always at least 3 months and I usually sell online and print lots of labels so very good for the price. If my printer goes bad I’ll most likely purchase one that uses HP ink 61 from how much I like it.

Contains and prints black ink very well until cartridge runs out of ink.
Then I annoyingly have to buy a replacement ink cartridge in the middle of a print job.
This inconvenience is because I have ignored the repeated low ink warnings. But it would be nice if the ink lasted longer.
Cartridges have always fitted into old HP printer and worked as expected. Sadly the geriatric printer recently died. Lower ratings only because most cartridge ink is a rip off.

When I replace ink cartridges, which seem to cost almost as much as a new printer anymore, I want to be able to swap cartridges and have it just work as advertised. Buying brand name to match brand name makes the most sense to me, as I have tried off-brands and refilling, and have rarely had that work seamlessly. Plus, refilling takes time (my time is valuable to me) and can be messy. HP cartridges for me, have always worked right the first time, so for minimal effort, ease of replacement, stay with the name brand. If you have the time, want to take the risk, and gamble on saving money, try another method. If the other methods fail, though, you end up buying the brand name anyway.;

excellent product easy to put in excellent price. I have been using this
type of ink for a long time. every since I got the printer. In staples it is expensive but in best buy it is very reasonable. I would recommend to friends and family.

I like the H P ink for my printers. They are easy to install and seem to last much longer than other comparable brands. The price is very competitive. I have had no problems with the ink cartridges, which I have been using for over two years now.

Just like my color ink cartridges, I had better luck using these HP replacement cartridges than some refilled ones by other manufactures in the past in other deskjets. In fairness, I could have made mistakes using or installing the others, but it's nice to just click n go with these with confidence. NOTE that in my research in the past, I found that the expiration dates on the packaging DO matter, and found the store shelf's inventory to not be rotated, so look through to make sure you get the freshest...and once installed, print something periodically, even a test page, or the jets can get clogged.
