This is how all flash drives should work ... right out of the wrapper it's ready with no intrusive software. It's just amazing how you can store 8 gigabyes on such a little device. Just think, that's 2 full-length movies on a device you can carry in your pocket. HP is the best!

This is a great product for the price. The body could have been sleeker but at the end it's the storage capacity that matters. I've not yet used it that long to comment on the life of this product.

While I've only had it a few weeks, i've had no issues with file transfer speeds.

I am a HP fan, so I stick with their products. This flash drive was not available in my local BB store, so I had to order it online. The cheapest other 8 GB flash drives available in the store were close to or over $30, so value wise, it is a very good deal. My total cost for this including tax was $18.33. This is not a "true" 8 GB flash drive... I think the true size is around 7.44 GB. In comparing it's outside dimensions to that of several 1 GB PNY flash drives that I have, this 8 GB HP flash drive is close to 1 inch shorter, and it's depth is almost half. I was quite surprised to see the size of this when I opened up the package. Because of it's tiny size, it could easily become lost, but it's size would also make it very easy to carry in one's pocket or purse. It does have the keyhole chain on the end of it, but the cap is clear, which could become easily lost. I took a permanent red magic marker and drew a smiley face on both sides of the clear cap after I had dropped it on carpeting and couldn't see it. :-) I wouldn't heisitate to purchase another one. Just remember to always scan all new USB Flash Drives for viruses/spyware before using them... something many people don't do.

This USB is user friendly and easy to use. It works with all computers and I have found that I like this product better than ones I have owned in the past. The product is a great value for the price.

I bought this flashdrive because I needed it for my Computer Apparel class. When I got to class I realized we used Mac computers. I had saved some files on the drive from a Windows computer and didn't want to lose the files. Luckily it saved both the files I needed for class and the ones I had on there already. This drive is really easy to use and it has a light that tells you when it's busy.

This 8 GB USB drive was a great deal at $17.99. It arrived promptly from Bestbuy.com. It is small ( 2 inches) but it works great. It has a hole on the end to attach a lanyards or cord but no cord is included. There is also no way to keep the cap from getting lost since there is no spot to put a cord on it. Overall it is a great value and works just fine.

Its a perfectly useful flash drive. 8GB for 17 dollar is about as good of a deal as you can get. Plus it has no bloatware which some drive makers still put on their drives.

Got it on sale with free shipping online. Works well with decent storage capacity. No problems with it. Only thing is, it is easy to lose the protective cap. Only recommnedation is to have the cap some how attached to the USB device.

Plug it in and just works. Its very sturdy. It works great with major Linux distros, requiring no fuss whatsoever. Great product for a high-capacity flash drive on the cheap.

I really enjoy this device because I downloads alot of pictures and music onto my computer and they do take up alot of space, so to free up alot of space on my hard drive I place them onto this USB device.

Electronically the drive is very good. However the external makeup of the drive has something to be desired. First, the detachable cover should have an attachment, such as a cord, to prevent loss. Second, the area for attaching a fob is too wide. To attach a ring or clip, the ring or clip would have to have overly large to be accommodated.

its a grate USB its really easy to use ny littel cause can use it also, ilove how you can put everything in order by files and its easy to find no porbles at all

8GB is a LOT of room and you could probably carry about everything you would ever want. Make absolutely sure you get a lanyard to carry around your neck. I had another 8GB stick and lost it. Along with about $800 worth of music and software. Only downfall, if you want to call it that, is this drive is really small and hard to keep up with without a lanyard. It's a good usb, large storage and easy to use. However, it's needed to reformat NTFS to store HD video or film.

I like that I could use it as my PS3 storage device then take it to my HP Desktop and store what I needed. I use it to save documents and family photos. I wanted more storage space to save family digital pictures so that I didn't have to buy so many flash drives.

Imagine my surprise when I discovered this flash dive actually worked as easily and efficiently as it was supposed to be. I mainly used it to copy a large amount of data from my desktop to my laptop and it was very quick and easy.

Very standard flash drive, great capacity for the price. Very easy to use.

All flash drives are basic devices and simple to use. However, the HP 8 gig FD is an excellent value and priced below comparable models from other manufacturers.

This is a simple but great device. Just plug it in a USB port and then start transferring your stuff. It's as simple as that. No problems at all so far! This is exactly what I needed to move some documents and music to a new computer. This purchase was well worth it.
