I've the printer for 6 months or so, and already I have almost spent as much on cartridges, even though I only use it for moderate home printing. I'm even considering replacing the printer with something more economical.

I subscribed to a service that sends a message that I need more ink for my printer. Several times I have run out of a color, had to purchase at a store, which is NOT what the service described. I even tried to get out of this and don't know how. Yellow seems to be the most difficult color to keep on hand.

Hi Tibor,
I'm sorry that you're having troubles with the service. I'm concerned that you have actually run out of ink. That should never happen! New cartridges are supposed to be sent automatically when the ink is low and in plenty of time before you actually run out.
It might be that by putting in regular cartridges rather than the larger Instant Ink ones, the low ink messages are not triggering the next delivery. You should contact the Instant Ink people and get this straightened out. Rest assured that you can change your plan at any time.
To change your plan, login at www.hpinstantink.com go to the ‘My Account’ section on the right side of your Dashboard and click on ‘Change Plan’ under ‘My Plan’.
