    I've tried buying cheaper, non-HP ink for my printer and had to buy a new printer a few months later. HP's ink cartridges are designed for use with their printers and, in my experience, result in problem free use and above average print quality. The price is higher than some of the off brand and refillable inks but is worth it in my opinion.
