The HP printer cartridges dry out too fast. I don't print a lot. Mainly my tax returns once a year. And when I need to print something else they are always telling me I need new cartridges and these are too expensive for what you get. I will never buy another HP printer ever.
As an occasional print user, cartridges sit on the printer for longer. Therefore, the cartridges are at a greater risk of drying out. First, I would like to send my apologies. I understand having dry cartridges when you need to print is inconvenient. Still, the best practice is preventative maintenance. Clean the cartridges with the automatic maintenance option on the printer or manually by hand.

I print 2-8 sheets about every 6 months, I should not have to replace my printer ink after printing 16 sheets of paper. Don't buy hp printer or ink.

Hp ink is a rip off. Need ink in each cartridge to complete most prints, even in just gray scale. Just get 2 sets of these and refill them...way cheaper.

Wish I had gotten a toner printer instead these ink cartridges dont have much ink in them. Then the printer will not work if a color runs out...very annoying.
Hi codiodios, Thank you for your feedback, sorry to hear you are unhappy with the Page yield. Historically printer manufacturers used their own methods for estimating page yield. However, this made it difficult to compare different products. Nowadays, the published page yield is based on the Industry Standard for measuring yields (refer to International Standards Organization ISO 24711). You may find that you will get more pages when printing in Fast draft mode. XL size cartridges offer up to 50% lower cost per page compared with standard size cartridges. Our recommendation would be that you leave your printer powered on in normal usage conditions, only power it down if you will not use it for an extended period (i.e.: longer than one month). HP charges a small fortune for its cartridges. You're basically paying $40 for a tiny quantity of ink and a piece of plastic. And I believe HP made a change to its software recently where much less expensive 3rd party cartridges don't work with their printers. For that reason, this printer will go in the garbage after this cartridge is empty. I'll switch to another brand.

Due to the fact that I discovered that the ink for my HP Officejet 6600 printer is being discontinued, I am not happy. My printer still works fine, but when I run out of the ink I just purchased, I will not be able to use it any more. I find this to be absolutely ridiculous and irritating!

I purchased wrong size and didn't realize it until I opened it and can't return it. Will have to spend more money to purchase another one.
I always buy my ink from Best Buy, next time I will not be in such a hurry!
