It's ink that works for hp printers. It doesn't work for every hp printer and I don't think it works for any non hp printer. It's xl. I don't know if that is really special or not since there isn't much of a choice and there isn't really a discount for getting a bigger cartridge.

I purchased this to replace the regular size cartridge. I always feel like I'm replacing the regular one every other month. I know this is how HP makes their money, definitely not by selling equipment. I'm hoping this one will last longer for the price.
