It's official ink, and an unfortunate necessity
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all, HP has configured their printers to "recognize" re-manufactured ink cartridges. If you continually use unofficial ink cartridges, you run the risk of ruining your print head. That said, this ink cartridge will not print to the full capacity that it says it will. Pretty much no ink cartridge will print to the full capacity. It works, and it's necessary. Do yourself a favor and join My Best Buy--it will save you an automatic 15% on ink, and take advantage of any sales to get it on sale. But as far as the quality of the product--it works, just not as well as it says it will.

Ink Cartridge....

This one works great. Everyone knows that HP ink is ridiculously expensive and sometimes its just cheaper to replace the printer but we got another brand and that printer is JUNK....so with HP, at least you usually get what you pay for.

Excellent Ink Life

The better the paper the better the result. No reason to buy standard life unless it's just a home printer. I burn through 2 sets of these a year and it's a huge savings to have this much life to the cartridge.

Print quality and endurance is excellent. The off brand cartridges will work, if you want to save money, but the print quality, waste, mess, and compatibility, in most cases, is not worth the hassle.

However, after doing this several times my printer stopped working. I think it was as a result of not using new ink cartridges. So I now buy new cartridges and try to send my old ones in to be recycled. Like the high capacity cartridges to save money.
