Only thing worse than printer is HP support,
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Printer worked 1-2 times when I agreed to sign up for ink replacement from HP. After I cancelled the service my printer wouldn't work anymore. When I contacted HP tech support they remoted into my computer to try and re-set-up the printer, then when they rebotted my computer remotely..... My computer quit working and I have been unable to start it since.

stopped working in 2 years
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The printer worked fine, but all of a sudden it stopped printing blue ink. Apparently the printhead is damaged. It is about 2 years old.

Awful.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just in case you think this is a good option, I’m here to tell you stay away. I recently had to reset my wireless network and my printer was a victim. I lost the cable, but there are options to set up wirelessly. Forget it. It will not be ‘found’. This is a useless printer and I’m very unhappy.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.1.drops wireless connection constantly 2. Over rides router connection periodically 3 hp support is less than helpful to reconnect wireless 4. Most annoying printer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned numerous printers and this one is complete crap. 1. Paper feed is useless, you have to feed by hand. 2. Keeps turning itself off so when you want to print you have to turn it on. Might as well connect with USB. 3. Print quality is bad. 4. Controls are confusing.

Posted .Hi Burnee,
I'm very sorry to hear about these issues with paper feeding, spontaneous shutdown, and print quality. This is very disappointing to hear, especially since we always strive to provide a much more reliable printing experience. To that end, I'd really like to get this resolved for you, so let's see how I can help.
What I’d first recommend is cleaning your printer’s rollers, as this often remedies any inconsistencies with improper paper feeding. You can find the steps for how to do so in this document: support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05317901
A few other suggestions include the following:
- Ensure that you've set the paper guides very precisely, giving specific attention to the paper height guide
- Review the steps in the following paper jam troubleshooter: support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05066387
Then, this document should help with improving overall print quality: support.hp.com/document/c05040421
As for the printer powering down randomly, what I'd recommend is contacting us for support. We’d be more than happy to help, so you can give us a call at +1 800-474-6836 between the hours of 8 am - 9 pm ET. To expedite the process, you can gather these beforehand:
- Model number
- Serial number
- Your location
- Your case number (from prior contact with support)
I hope this helps and again, sincerest apologies.

More productive needed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is small. More of a toy. How they can make something this helpful is amazing, but you really do need a more productive machine. There is one problem with all these printers. Ink.

Won’t connect
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly I’ve had this printer for months and haven’t gotten a chance to use it, Every time I try to set this printer up it refuses to hook up to my WiFi and I just get frustrated and give up. What a waste of time and money.

Posted .Hi, Jenny.
I'm sorry to hear that your printer has been so difficult to set up. It’s easy to understand why repeated attempts without resolution would become exasperating, so I’ll suggest some resources that I hope will help.
First, I recommend you visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various problems, including setup and connectivity issues. Visit that page here:
- support.hp.com/us-en/topic/diagnostics
If problems persist or you need any further support, I hope you’ll contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can guide you through the proper troubleshooting. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number
- Serial number
- Your location
- Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)
I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link: support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty

TERRIBLE PRINTER
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do not buy this printer. It is awful. Constant error messages and constant frustration. Prints and scans only when it feels like it - there is no consistency in when it does and [usually] doesn't work. Do not buy this printer - save yourself the annoying frustrations and money.

Ink clogs rendering printer useless
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unfortunately this printer continually clogs the ink cartridges rendering the unit unusable. It has no HP support thus you'll be spending a fortune to replace the cartridges each time you print. Look elsewhere for a better quality unit.

Posted .Hello there,
I am really sorry to hear that you encountered problems with your printer. Certainly I can understand frustration coming from constantly clogging cartridges. This is definitely far from the experience we are eager to provide to our customers. I would like to help and provide possible solutions.
First of all, I would recommend cleaning the ink cartridges. Your printer should have an automatic routine to do that. If you don't know how to do this please look at the Step 10 in this document:
- Quality Printing issues: support.hp.com/document/c05040421
If that helps, the printer might have been turned off using a power strip or switch. The printer should always be turned off using the power button on the printer itself. That will let the printer 'park' itself so that the printhead is protected from excess drying. That can cause clogs to form in the tiny nozzles that spray the ink onto the paper.
If the above fails, please feel free to contact us through: hp.com/contactHP

gift return difficulty
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a printer online as a gift for someone in a different state. I was unable to find a receipt for the gift. finally after quite a longtime on the phone a rep was able to get me a purchase order # for me but if the person returns it without the credit card that the gift was purchased with they can only get a store credit. which they don't want or need. in my opinion that negates the extended return policy for you have for Xmas gifts. I will never buy a gift from you online again.

! Not 5G Compatible !
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.CAUTION FOLKS! I have owned this HP Series for about 5-6 years now. The first 2 were no problem. But then the air print was no "longer available" per HP. NOW and most importantly if you are operating on 5G Wi-Fi - this printer is not compatible with 5G.

Worst connectivity issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using wireless printers forever and I have never never NEVER in my adult life had so many connectivity issues. I use both Windows and MAC OS and I've had intermittent connectivity issues with both platforms. At first, my printer connected fine, no issues. Then, after an update, it wanted a pin from my Apple products that I did not have and for the life of me could not find. I eventually discovered I had to press combo buttons on the printer itself to retrieve information I needed with an everchanging WPS pin to connect to the wifi. THEN on my windows laptop the printer decided one day to stop connecting and required a whole new setup to connect and it STILL isn't working properly. I got this printer because it is a space saver but it has just been endlessly frustrating. Also, it prints slowly and NOTHING is intuitive about its functionality.

Posted .Hi, Carolina.
I’m sorry to hear that your printer has not connected wirelessly like it should, and when it finally did, it gave you confusing messages. I can understand why that would be quite frustrating, so I’ll offer some resources and information that I hope will help.
First, I recommend you visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various problems, including setup and connectivity issues. There you’ll also find a general-purpose tool called the HP Print and Scan Doctor.
