Good computer for home use

HP Desktop 8 GB-1TB Hard Drive is slow

I am told that with all the things running in the background on the newer computers that it slows them down, but I hardly have anything on this brand new computer and it is slower than my previous computer that crashed and the old computer that I use at work. What a disappointment.

Good Desktop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This computer is good for the average home, motherboard is bare minimum, only has 2 memory slots so each memory chip has to be 8 gig to update.Not a lot of usb slots so by time you plug in speakers mouse and keyboard you only have one left for flash drives or cords to connect other devices (does have 2 usb 3.0 slots) Not to sure on windows 8 yet easy to use but lots to learn.

I am an elderly, handicapped resident of an assisted living facility. My computer allows me to stay in touch, almost instantly, with distant family and friends whom I can no longer visit in person. It is a very useful and convenient tool.
