I purchased this computer for my 82 year old father who was a pioneer in the computer programming industry, and had never owned a laptop. He loves it and he's impressed. We could not find a new laptop with these specs in stock anywhere, so we took the open box, Geeksquad certified computer, as it was the only option. The computer came to us in "like new" condition and we've had no issues.

great sound quality -- smooth trackpad -- nice key travel (would be nice if number lock key had a dot light like the caps lock button does to acknowledge if it is on or off) -- touchscreen is crisp and responsive -- i would suggest this over a 360 flip laptop (unless you absolutely need one for drawing &or lighter portability) since this is a more solid build quality and a better value

I have not had the time to learn everything about this computer, so only gave 4 stars. It does what I need it to do right now. Hope to soon see what else is possible. Did upload photos from phone to Amazon Photos & they look great on the 17" screen. Had an older Dymo printer hooked up to my old computer...had most of my address book there. New computer will not support the older Dymo...so lost those addresses & other things I had saved to that system. Still hoping I'll find a way to retrieve the addresses.

Screen size is so large and computer is fast and reliable. I love this laptop!

My HP Windows 7 computer was on its last leg. I looked at all the HP computers and this one had a CD player built-in, which is exactly what I was looking for. Setting up Windows 10 was a little challenging since I haven't used Windows 10 before, but I was able to do it since it's pretty user friendly

This is a killer laptop. It loads in 12 seconds: super fast at loading all files. It has an optical drive, which I need but it doesn't read DVD's which is disappointing. Windows 10 is easier to navigate that I thought it would be. You do need an external keyboard unless it's sitting right in front of you. So happy to have gotten this before they were sold out.

Love the touch screen, the speed is awesome, color is wonderful!

Screen brightness is sharp processor is fast and it is light weight

Large crystal clear screen, fast processing, nice-touch keyboard, Plenty of ports, including ethernet which comes in handy If/when router WiFi is on the blink. Sleek design. With a 17” screen, the laptop is a little heavier than smaller ones - but have had no problems transporting it during travel. Hats off to HP for a great product.

I was looking for a computer to use at home and at work. I don’t game, so I don’t know about what you need for gaming. This computer is very fast and easy to use. My only complaint is that it never remembers my fingerprint. (Or can’t read it again after it “learns” it. But that is a small thing. Overall- super happy with this purchase!!!

So far this laptop has been performing as stated. My only complaint is the fingerprint sensor- it is placed in an awkward area (middle/right side under keyboard) and often times it won't recognize your print several times and you are asked to use your passcode. It's a design flaw, but wouldn't not have bought the computer due to that. Overall, I would say it's a winner for the price and options.

Was rather annoyed at having to purchase a new laptop due to Microsoft not supporting Windows 7 in January, however, this laptop although Windows 10 has a lot of the windows 7 features which makes it very easy to maneuver around in. It's a very fast system which I need and Geek Squad rep who set it up got everything in I needed and I'm moving right along. So glad I made the purchase.

Super fast, works great. Start up is fast surfing the internet is lightning fast. Love the video camera and the tech support was a great added benefit to use if you need which you can purchase separately and it'll give you Spyware protection free! Love best buy and low prices!
