I haven't had this printer for very long but it's a nifty thing. Maybe I'm not the genius on printers but I don't need much. I need it to print and scan once in awhile and it does those two things perfectly for me. I haven't printed any pictures so I can't tell you how well it does there.

This item acts different every time I try to use it. I got this specifically so my wife could print from her iPad. I also have a laptop and a tower computer on the home network connected with WPA security. The printer is also connected with encryption. I can't print with the tower computer which is hardwired to the network. I was also unable to use cable connection from printer to tower computer. That was the last time I tried to use it. The quirks seem to change with each use. Also If you print from an iPad it connects to the printer as if it were a wireless modem and you have to go to settings on iPad, iPhone to change wireless settings back to the network. This thing cost about as much as 1 1/2 cartridge replacements on my old printer and came with initial cartridges or I would be really upset. My wife would probably not be able to print if I were not here because each use requires another round of trouble shooting.

Got a fantastic deal on a terrific printer. Couldn't have gotten a better deal anyplace else.
