This computer looked perfect for what my wife and I need. It worked well for a few months before it started updating randomly and turning off while my wife was doing her school work. After several weeks of trying to adjust settings I thought I had it fixed. About 6 months in, it would not turn off after updating nor would it restart without a hard reset. It is very frustrating to work with. After looking in to the problem it is probably a graphics card issue that will require 100's to fix. I would not recommend this computer. I have had bad luck with dells (laptop and desktop) and now HP. I own an Acer laptop and it has worked great since May '16. I will probably purchase an Acer desktop next.

Looked good on paper but...

I bought this as a Christmas present for my son and it went south on Dec. 26. When you tried to wake the system, the cpu would wake up but the gpu wouldn't. HP tech support tried everything over the next 5 days; reinstalled drivers and software, adjusted all settings, changed the bios and even the interface management system. The last thing was a system reset so it could be returned. I have to give HP a lot of credit for their attempts to make it right, but apparently somethings just aren't meant to be. Also, many kudos to BestBuy, their managers and customer service for making my son happy. Me on the other hand, could only grin and bare-it when my son picked another computer that was 3x's as much money.
