This replaced my aging Dell XPS with XP. HP support is good and their built in software although good is hard to navigate. I wish it had real disk burning software. Several of my old programs are not compatible with 8.1. No windows recovery disk provided. You must create your own. I plan to add more RAM on my own. There are no instructions how to replace keyboard batteries.

I have to kids so lots of memories and this computer helps us store them and organize them all. plus we have over 5000 iTunes songs that we can listen to as well as browse the internet

Perfect for what we needed. Windows 8 a bit of a hassle, but stuck with it and now have the hang of it. Highly recommended computer!

I was long overdue for a new PC. This one lined up well along the lines of "not too expensive, but not completed outdated technology" I've had it for a little bit now, and I like it. Much faster than the old one and much more reliable too. Exactly what I needed.

So far I am Impressed with my purchase, to replace my Gateway FX400 with XP. Was easy to set up and install all my programming. I don't mind the windows 8.1 program but the filing system is, for me, way behind the filing system of XP. This is my first HP as I have always had Gateway but this is a great desktop and fast on my network. Time will tell as I plan on getting an HP laptop a lil later on,

I needed a Desktop to edit photos among other things, so I needed a lot of power and storage. This desktop fits the bill. It is extremely fast and has tons of storage. So far everything is great, The only thing I do not like is the keyboard, it is cheaply made and too small for my fingers. You would think that HP would have included a better keyboard with one of their top of the line desktops.

this pc is amazing. it is used everyday. the only thing i did extra to it is a new video card so that im able to play more extensive games

I haven't yet had the chance to fully explore/benefit from the capabilities of this unit, but my limited time on the keyboard seems to indicate that it will do the trick for my photo/audio/video production needs. The only thing that required expansion was video connectivity . . .I DID upgrade to a 2GB video card from PNY so that I could connect the three 27" monitors that I am running. I was guided to my selection by the terrific team at my Local Millbury, MA BestBuy - - the result of their recommendation has been exceptional !!!

I believe this computer will be more than I'll ever need but I heard that the 9.0 will be out for christmas its already out dated anyway I'm still learning all the apps and systems many programs so far I am satisfied I would reccommend this one if its still on the market sheif

Good but slower than I thought it would be, possibly the flash drive for the wireless mouse

Very pleased with my purchase. This computer is very fast and easy to set up. My biggest complaint is having to listen to my wife complain about Widows 8. She seems unable to use it. Well, she will not even try to use it.

good for home use with decent specs, can run some games on med with good fps

I needed to replace my broken DELL Desktop (motherboard issues) quickly, so went immediately to Consumer Reports. This was at the top of their list in my price range. I've had good luck with HP products before, so went for it. I gave my husband my DELL Photo all in one Printer, which he loves, and bought the HP high end home Printer to go with the new Desktop, and I have been VERY happy with both. Except for the "ON" button on the tower, which seems to stick from time to time, everything is peachy! Runs like a dream, much better than my five year old DELL ever did.

The computer works pretty well. The speed on this computer is very good.

I BOUGHT THIS BECAUSE I NEEDED ADDITIONAL MEMORY AND WANTED TO OPEN MULTIPLE WINDOWS WITH EASY AND SPEED. I LOVE THAT THIS UNIT HAS FOUR USB PORTS IN FRONT WITH EASY ACCESS IN PULL DOWN FLAP.

Purchased this as a replacement for my wife's computer. She needed a unit with a lot of ram memory and a large hard drive for video work. Looked around and found this one would do the trick.
