I've had it going on 2 mo. with no issues. Also no issues with pre-existing hardware or software either. Not blistering fast but certainly faster than my old one with W7. Smaller footprint than the old one and quieter. Pleased considering the price.

Faster than my 10 yr old UP Pentium with Windows 7, but so far I'm not enamored with Windows10...difficult transition from Windows 7. Also, I would prefer to have a few more printed instructions to go with the computer rather than just "pictures"that aren't easy to interpret.

I bought this desktop for my home office. The unit was easy to set up and is fast operations with a lot of storage. I am still getting to know it a bit but so far am very happy with this purchase. The only negative thing i have to say would be about the CD/DVD vertical door, it seems to be a bit flimsy and is difficult to shut at times. I do appreciate the size for its capabilities, my old workhorse unit was a monster and took up a lot of space

Great desktop with plenty of storage and power to run everything we need and a couple of games as well. The i5 is powerful enough for everyday use and the SSD is a nice speed boost from our old HDD.

My desktop for my small business was having problems so I took it to tech support to see if I needed to have it cleaned up. The outcome was that they recommended put in a new harddrive (at considerable expense),or,consider replacing. Given the fact that it was seven years old and had already had a new hard drive some years ago, I decided it was time to replace it. This was the model that best fit my usage and budget according to my tech expert, and he was right. I've had it about a month and so far it is fast and flawless. (Just what I needed.)

Fast. Not too much junk software installed, there is some, just not a lot. Solid state drive is nice. Internal drive bays are configured a little strangely if you want more than one extra drive.

Needed replacement for 2015 Dell tower that died. The SSD and faster processor makes this machine blazing fast in comparison. The tower also has a bunch of USB ports front and back and has a DVD RW hidden behind a secret door on the front panel. One annoying feature is that the USB 3.0 ports on the front are hard to identify as they have a black insert rather than the standard blue color. They are labeled in a very dark gray on the black case, which is very hard to see. Otherwise, I've been pleased.

    Good Intermediate Level Computer

This computer is a solid performer. If you look at the three main components; CPU: The CPU is an Intel i5 8th Generation. Intel is now up to the 10th Generation, so this gives you the power of a relatively new i5, but you don't have to pay for the latest version. RAM: 12 GB. Most people will not need more than that. In my opinion, if you need more than 12 GB of RAM, then you should also jump up to the i7. Storage: 512 GB SSD is a 512 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD which means it plugs directly into the motherboard, no cables to deal with. Most home users will find 512 GB roomy enough. If you edit videos, do audio work, or are a photographer, you might want to look into something with more onboard storage. Added Perks: a USB 3.1 Type C Port on the front panel along with 4 USB 3.1 Type-A Ports, as well as an SD Card reader. It's a solid performer as an office workstation and more than enough power for most home users. Oh yes, don't forget the built-in dual-band Wireless-AC and of course Gigabit Ethernet.

I was leery about getting a new computer but because mine was 10 years old with Windows 7 and getting slower and I knew Microsoft dropped its support I had to make a change. So glad I did plus the fact that it was on sale made the purchase even better. I can't believe this one is so quiet and fast. Instead of waiting 10 min. to start up this HP started up in 3 to 5 seconds. With having 12GB of ram it is fast. The only thing I would say negative about it is that the dvd tray is not very sturdy but then since I don't use it that much I am completely happy with the computer and the help I got from Best Buy in purchasing this machine. After purchase I had an internal hard drive installed so I could keep the SSD as fast as possible.

Excellent computer, great memory, everything I need. Wish it had 2 HDMI ports instead of 1 HDMI and 1 VGA. Tried to upgrade video card to do that, but needed better power supply and nothing would fit into this compact model. Turns out for every day use, I can't tell the difference between the VGA monitor and the HDMI one, but I don't do gaming, so I'm not a good judge.

Over the years I have never recommended HP for PC's. They were always rated high on initial satisfaction, but I felt there durability was suspect. However, I purchased this HP to replace a failing 11-year-old HP. It was fast, slick and I loved the Nightfall Black case. It has so many options for USB ports, Ethernet & Wireless options as well as VGA (still) and HDMI. I am becoming a Believer.
