This PC is awesome: blazing fast, tons of storage, Bang & Olufsen audio is soooo much better than HP's previous Beats Audio, and the GeForce GTX 980 graphics card has more than enough horsepower to play Fallout 4 at max settings. Had an occasional graphics driver issue which HP Support quickly fixed by guiding me to change the power management mode for the graphics card to "prefer maximum performance." All in all, I couldn't be happier!

i bought the hp envy for gaming and photography. it has exceeded my expectations. this comp has a 4.03 gig intel processor i7 6700 series and also has a super fast video card gtx 980 by nvidia that has its own dedicated memory of 4gb. it is enough to handle any game out there as of this writing. system is 16gb ddr4 memory expandable to 32 gb. has all the bells and whistles . overall it is easy to set up and comes with windows 10 . i believe it was a good purchase for me. a bit pricey but if you want the best ya gotta pay for it. forgot to mention it comes with a 2 year full warranty .

This computer system is very fast and exceptionally quiet. Windows 10 loads in less than 10 seconds. The only decision you have to make is whether to save new software to the huge hard drive or the fast solid state drive. I have this computer sitting right next to me and can hardly hear it running and I don't feel any heat out the vents.

This computer is lightening FAST!! The separate SSD for your Operating System and Apps is Great! About 10 to 15 sec boot-up!! It shuts down just as fast. The graphics card will play videos very smooth without buffering. The liquid cooled CPU makes it run silent. Plenty of USB ports. I love a few right on top of the cabinet where they can be reached easily. Still getting to know it, but so far, it is a Fantastic Computer!! It should run Anything I throw at it for years to come!!

I read reviews before purchasing. I noticed that all of them had 5 stars. Not 4 stars or 3. Not even 2 or 1. 5 solid stars! "There must be a reason for that", I said, and on I went to purchase it. Man! ... this computer is way beyond what has been described. I live in Los Angeles, CA and was sold out in each and every Best Buy Store at least 100 miles around!! I purchased on line and was put in a "Wait List". No regrets, waiting time brought a reward. Rebooting takes less than a minute; tasks are obtained instantly. This machine is extremely fast. I believe is now a classic for the years to come. It is expensive, yes, but you will be proud and happy for what delivers. Highly recommended!

This Envy Phoenix desktop is light years ahead of my eight year old HP Envy, that I kept upgrading, As old parts wore out and I upgraded operating systems from Vista to Windows 7 over the many years, I just wanted to do more and more with my desktop and I think its limited capacities and storage finally made me choose to get a new desktop. So the choice was made to go with this new HP Phoenix Envy desktop, I am pleased with its overall operation so far, and I do love the quick SSD boot up.

This HP cost a lot but it is the fastest one I've had yet. With a solid state drive and 4.0 ghz speed it is great. I have had no issues so far. It works great.

Well to start with. It's very, very fast ! I increased the RAM to 32 GB when it came in ( Came in just 3 days ). It looks great with the multi colored lights running vertical on the front of the processer ! Extremely sharp images on game play and u-tube videos thanks to the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Graphics Card. I have only had it a few weeks, but I love it so far. The processer is so quit and silent you don't even notice nothing but the cool lights changing from red to blue then green...ect. It's been 7 years since I got a new PC so maybe that's why I noticed the speed of this PC so much. I ran 2 games and worked on 3 other pages at the same time and needless to say I had 9 other windows open at the same time !! With the 27 inch monitor and the vivid videos and sharp details it makes my smart TV look kind of dull. Yes, Fast; Sharp and Beautiful are the only words to describe this Desk top computer. A lot of money but it's a lot of computer !! Final thought's on my new PC is, that I might even go to 64 GB of RAM in a few years. As the slots will hold 4- 16 GB sticks of RAM. By the way it holds the NEW DDR4 SDRAM Sticks. Had to special order those if you want to increase the RAM. Most PC's hold the DDR3 just incase,so you order the right one's. Well I hope this helps someone who is into gaming and office work at the same time. This is the computer for you. This should hold me for the next 7 years !! Because I know I made the right choice now.

I got this as a gift for my wife's birthday. The dvd-rom was totally substandard and the mouse had to be replaced immediately as it was also horrible. For over $1800 we expected more from hp. Other than that a very good computer.

    Not upgradeable

I purchased this pc because I own an HP gaming pc that I purchased in 2010. I needed to upgrade. It last me six years with no issues and was easily upgradeable. I figured the experience would carry on. Boy was I wrong. Don't get me wrong, this pc is a great unit. Components are good but it is an upgrading nightmare. I purchased this pc but needed to upgrade the RAM to 32GB, the capacity of the SSD to 500 GB and install two 4tb hd's and set up redundancy via Storage Spaces. Forget installing the HD i couldn't even get the installed components out of the pc. The HD case is not removable and mounted towards the bottom front of the pc. In order to get the clearance to access one side of the hd case i needed to remove the video card, ram chips, the master power cable on the motherboard since the bottom screw of one hd was directly behind it, and other cables from the motherboard in that area. I then needed to get the small screwdriver in on an angle as it was touching the heatsink. Then came the fun part, how the heck do i remove the front case. I got the clips out on the side that was open but the other end had clips that were were not reachable. Some clips were underneath the hd's. So then i took it to Microcenter and Geek Squad. They were both stumped. HP had no data online explaining how to open the case (or i couldn't find it). Point is, i am not at all interested in such complications. The pc case is an extremely poor design. I will not pursue an HP in the future until such cases become more functional for novice to intermediate users. If you purchase it and your hd fails, you will most likely be calling HP to get support to complete a swap. Basic components as such should have the flexibility given to the user to access and replace. Or give good documentation along with the pc explaining how to take the pc apart.
