I've always been an HP lover but for some reason my last laptop was a Dell, which I liked, but I love this one! I'm having a little trouble getting used to Windows 8 but I'm managing! I use it as a home computer and its perfect for that!

Took a while to get used to Windows 8 but the computer has great graphics, built in Skype (w/camera), pretty fast and just an all round quality product that is well worth the price.

Very nice laptop. I use it for light gaming like World of Warcraft at max settings and also IL2. AMD processor is amazing as usual. This is a great laptop for sure.

I purchased this laptop mainly because it was one of the least expensive versions that came with a dedicated graphics card. It has performed admirably for the few video games which I play. For the price, this laptop is great.

I love this laptop. The keyboard illuminates at night. It is lightweight. It is well worth the money. The keys are cool to use. It works great as a touch screen.

I love it but it has issues

This laptop is quite nice. I am super happy with the touch-screen. I play online video games though and I keep getting stuck going in one direction. It seems my "WASD" keys are getting stuck. (although they aren't actually stuck) I find that I have to tap the key again to stop moving in that direction. This is very irritating for two reasons: 1) Playing a game and getting stuck going forward while in a fight will get you killed and 2) I've only had this laptop for about a month and this problem has already popped up. I don't even play the online games a whole lot...I'd say 2-ish hours a day (if that). Also, my control zone can't be disabled. I often have to backspace when typing because part of my hand has hit the control zone and put my cursor somewhere else. And lately the control zone wont always pull up my start menu options (like shutting down). Overall, this is a good laptop. I love it but will have to take it in to GeekSquad after only a month of light to medium use.

The HP envy is without a doubt the best laptop I have ever owned. Fast start up, light weight, and long lasting battery make this computer great for college students, and the touch screen makes playing games fun.

This was purchased as a school/gaming computer. The amount of RAM works for running everything smoothly. I chose to go with the AMD processor with the ATI/Radeon chip as opposed to the standard Intel on-board video found on comparable priced laptops to get better gaming performance. While this isn't by any means a high or mid range gaming laptop, it plays Civ5 and World of Tanks (on low settings) smoothly without any issues. So far it is a great buy for the price, considering the video performance. The laptop itself has so far run smoothly without any issues. I would highly recommend this as a low-end gaming laptop. If you want better performance, you would need to spend another $300+ for something without an on-board video chip.

I think it has way too many apps already downloaded as I will not personally use all these apps. The touchscreen makes this computer simple and easy to navigate.

The only reason I haven't given the laptop 5 stars is due to the touchpad. It can be a bit temperamental! Would definitely recommend a mouse and not rely on the touchpad. Other than that it is a very nice laptop and the touchscreen is great too!

I purchased this laptop as I really like HP products. I like the way it looks and the feel of it. However, there is a problem that the mousepad is larger than other laptops. It is very hard to use and often when you left click on something, the pointer jumps to another area of the screen. You have to keep putting the pointer back where you want it. Sometimes when you touch certain parts of the mouse, your screen just goes crazy and windows start opening. I went to the control settings and tried changing the mouse settings. That did not help. I think the computer is just made this way. I'm not sure if I would recommend this to a friend.

Bought this second one for another grandchild. Both kids love the touchscreen feature and are very happy with them. The first laptop is about 18 months old and is still in one piece and working great. The touchscreen is still clear and surprisingly enough not scratched up or marred. This was a shock to me as I can't seem to keep my I-phone screen scratch free but the kids can keep these in pretty good shape. They must have a good screen protection incorporated on these things.

This was a GREAT computer... It's marketed at 2.10 GHz... However it is overclocked and I got UP to 3.8Ghz... I also love the touchscreen. I was against it at first but it is helpful when you are one of those people who aren't used to the track pad and you have to navigate through settings with it... The touchscreen takes all those troubles away! It has a cool light up keyboard for nighttime use.... The only think I am not fond of is... You have to press FN to use any of the F keys... Which isn't a big deal normally... But a hassle when you are playing a game that requires the F keys.

I just needed a new laptop and this one does the job. I miss having the button to turn off the mouse pad which I had on my last HP since the mouse pad is right where your hands rest when you type. I'm still getting use to Windows 8 which I'm not a huge fan of. Also, this is probably more of a customer service thing but the sales guy seemed really uninterested in helping me, he didn't even look at me most of the time and it would have been nice if he had told me that this model does not have an internal CD/DVD drive, which I learned after I got it home and wanted to install things and then had to buy and external drive.

Windows 8 is yet another challenge to figure out ! I'd gotten used to it, but found too many conflicts. After HP taking control of my computer on 4 occasions and the AMD crashing 3 times and video cards not loading, I was told to take it back to the store and get a different computer. There was a problem. Traded it in for an HP Pavilion i7 6G. After carefully going through the steps and checking "no" to let any controller automatically taking over my performance, this PC flies. Happy with the new one.

This laptop is lightweight with a decent size screen and number keypad. It does have a tendency to lock up when you are performing multiple tasks. It has a disappointing battery life, despite me using all the energy-saving settings. I was sort of pressured by the sales guy to buy an HP, and I am not sure I would have gone this route on my on. If you are using it as a toy, be sure it is more for web-browsing and light gaming... anything else it really isn't up to the challenge.
