This was the hardest computer to work. Could not get the computer to do the things I bought it for.

I'm not happy at all with this product. It would be a really useful device if it would type correctly. I need a device that I can type up documents with for work and schooling and there seems to be a problem with the TouchPad. The cursor jumps everywhere while I'm trying to type. It takes me three to four times longer to finish a document then it would normally take because of having to always correct where the cursor placement is. I'm very frustrated with this unit. I've already been through tech support and they remotely updated the driver for it but it only worked correctly for less than a day. I want to see about taking this unit back in to get my money back.

The computer seemed nice. It has a great keyboard with background lighting but malfunctioned and had a lot of electronic and screens problems within the first week.

This laptop was highly recommended by the sales assoc. Once set up its been slow to load up, slow to do anything.

I have an old computer that is about seven years old. It works faster than this new Envy touch screen. I've taken it to the geek squad multiple times with no resolve of my problems. This computer is very slow and freezes often. Don't purchase this computer.

First, to note to everyone who has purchased any laptop in the past 10 years, As with any laptop you buy nowadays - (if your tech savvy enough or know someone who is) you SHOULD wipe the laptop and put a fresh installation of windows on it (free download to flash drive from microsofts website for 8.1). This made this laptop ~20-30% faster Preloaded bloat ware = lower prices for your laptop, but also a perceived "slowness" and abundance of useless "warning! your PC is not protected! blahblahblah" messages. Microsoft includes it's own basic antivirus, firewall, and malware protection - free. Pros: AMD A10 APU - FX Series - get it while you can - these are very powerful CPUs that also include a GPU. More than enough for your daily tasks. Handles moderate gaming very well (much better than similarly priced Intel counter parts) Exceptional performance for the price Daily tasks are a breeze - I'm a programmer and I am not disappointed by this machine Sleek look and feel. Keyboard is responsive and has a back light :) Cons: The touch pad is quite large. At first, I found myself accidentally bumping into it which made my cursor jump around. I've since gotten used to it Overall - A great buy. You'll be very satisfied. After a couple weeks I slapped a 240GB solid state drive in here and the thing now loads in less than 8 seconds. Truly amazing laptop. Very impressed. I'm glad I didn't spend ~30% more to get something this fast. I would recommend though, if you are planning on doing some "moderate gaming" (I usually play league of legends - runs at Max), that you buy faster RAM. These APUs LOVE fast RAM.

Laptop is lightweight and I'm really enjoying the touch screen. It does not have a DVD drive, but an external one quickly plugged in with no issues. Still learning the touch screen and purchased a wireless mouse - way easier to use!

This touchscreen laptop has great performance and runs cool with little heat. I did switch out the included 750gb hard drive for an SSD and now its supercharged. The AMD FX processor runs strong and the touch screen is great. To all the people that have complained about the mouse touchpad please go to the control panel and adjust the settings there. It is important that you find the settings that work for you.
