The computer was great on walking you thru how to customize it. Be patient with windows 8.1, it is neat. The computer is touchy. I have had this computer for about 1 month

Bought this for my daughter to use in her college dorm - with 3 other roommates - they wanted access to a printer so that they would not have to use the college printers if the time and place did not work - they seem happy to have it so all is well!

The laptop with touch screen is very touchy. The 8.1 programing is not as user friendly for an old school person like me. For someone who likes games and different specialty apps it should work good.

This is a good overall laptop. The graphics processors are very fast for me and do a good job for photo editing (Lightroom). The keyboard is a little tempermental, and I'm still learning my way around Windows 8. For the money, this is a good laptop.

I enjoy the look and the speed of the HP envy however I would say that the touchscreen is extremely sensitive and the control panel in the keyboard which operates as a mouse is also extremely sensitive. Having both a sensitive touch screen in a sensitive touch pad make it a little frustrating when trying to navigate between different windows and different functions of the laptop. Otherwise I believe that it's a great product and I would recommend it-- provided of course I could get used to operating with sensitivity of the screen and the touchpad.

Nice laptop. Love the screen size and resolution. Can take awhile to load a new tab on IE. Amazing sound quality. Graphics are clear. Easy to navigate if you understand Windows 8.1.

I purchase to replace my tower that crashed. The touch pad is not as responsive as I would like and sometimes is hard to find.the arrow. I got a wireless mouse and this made thing much easier and faster. I would definitely recommend this. With windows 8 if you use the touch screen it gets smeared with finger prints pretty quick which drive me crazy. Just another reason why I use the mouse.. In the touch pad there are a couple of hidden buttons which was not real intuitive and took a while to figure out. I did purchase the Geek Squad service and they were very helpful in helping me get this set up just like my tower. If you are not a techy I would highly recommend this.

The only thing it doesn't have which I neglected to check is a disk drive, which I can get around. Otherwise, It's very efficient for it's size. I'm getting used to Windows 8.

I ordered 3 laptops for my office. They look nice and for the most part operate the way I would expect. There is one laptop that took over 4 hours to update, so I have a feeling we may be returning that one if it keeps having issues.

I bought this laptop because I am an engineering student and I wanted to run software that was not available for Mac. I chose this computer because it had the minimal requirements needed to run the software at the best price. I will start out with what I like about the computer. touch screen is cool and I like the number pad. The main problem I had with this computer is the "hp control zone" touch pad is completely useless. The best way to describe it is it goes into seizures and starts highlighting/clicking/selecting random windows at random. the whole computer then becomes useless. I restarted that computer and same problems persisted. I took that computer back and exchanged for another. I am experiencing the exact same problems with the new one. I am messing with the settings to make it somewhat bearable but it is still bad. Even if the touch pad did work properly it is in the wrong place. It is off to the left side, and for a right handed person you are constantly touching the right side which brings up a settings menu(you have to mess with settings to change this). The next thing that makes this computer annoying is all the HP bloatware and nonsense on the computer that is constantly upgrading. I don't know what all the nonsense is for, but it is annoying. the general performance of the computer is pretty slow. I am not running a whole lot of advanced software and the computer begins to get slow when you have 4 or five things open. You then need to power off and restart. I wouldn't recommend even at the low price point. BTW I have hooked up my nice headphones to see what the beats audio is all about and I noticed no difference between my mac, tablet, phone or this computer.

The laptop is pretty fast. First time using AMD. I'm still getting used to a touch feature on a laptop. I've left the laptop running for several hours and the bottom doesn't get hot.

I love my new laptop! I purchased it for school work. It's fast, durable, sleek, and worth every penny. The only con I have is the touch screen is extremely sensitive.
