    Powerful and not bloated

I use many computers at many different levels of OS (XP, Vista, WIN7, WIN 8.1) and know them all well. This HP with WIN 8.1 combined with really good hardware and specs makes it a blast to use. It is super fast! It runs Intel's latest 4G i5 processor at 2.8 GHz with turbo boost to about 3.2 GHz when under heavy load. It's got a 1TB 7200RPM drive with 8GB SSD. The SSD makes this machine go from completely off to completely functional in about 30 seconds! Amazing. Beats audio.. Wow, Who knew.. It sounds incredible when connected to my external Logitech 2.1 system. Really good. The video is also extremely impressive given it runs off the chipset of the Intel processor instead of a dedicated video card. Perfect HD video even at 1080P. Lastly, it come with 8GB DDR3 RAM at 1600MHz. That's pretty awesome. But, the power junkie I am I bought another 8GB of same RAM and added it to the system and now it's at 16GB! Nice.. Love this AIO (All-In-One) PC.

This is a great all in one computer that I purchased in store after reviewing its features and comments on line....It has great versatility a fast processor and a wide LED screen for easy viewing...However according to the specs listed online it does not include Adobe Photoshop Elements...Their is no disc with the software and it is not preloaded any where on the drive...Otherwise a great computer.. Software package included 'With Adobe Photoshop Elements, Adobe Premiere Elements, Amazon Kindle and more. Includes 1-month trial of Microsoft Office 365.'

I love the touch screen, I don't like that there is no output hdmi, it would be nice to have the screen on my tv for watching movies. Advice: download all the windows updates when you first get it for Adobe Photoshop

    Good All-in-One computer

I am an Artist, looking for a good computer for doing projects etc. This, I recommend! It runs smoothly and it runs awesome with Photoshop and a Drawing tablet- BUT, the down fall for this computer is the HDMI plug. To save the trouble, this computer only has a HDMI "IN-PUT" it does NOT have an OUT-PUT HDMI. You need an OUT-PUT for the Drawing Tablet [at least the one I have, a Cintiq)- I found out the hard way... My drawing tablet had NO signal! So I got a product called, "Sabrent: Connecting Differently", don't need to use the disk for this computer, just plug it w/ the tablet and onto the computer etc etc- it'll do few things and BAM, it works LOVELY! I recommend this to Artists who are looking for a reasonable computer to work on their stuff! Got a wide Crisp-clear screen and good to see your finish work in great details! Another small down fall, is whenever I try to look at the back of the computer to plug a USB drive [has good amount of it at the back] or tilting the screen back or forward, I keep pushing the power button by accident... but it can recover your screen quickly when you push it again, which is a plus!

Unless you know Windows 8 - think twice

I agree with other reviewer, Robert. Microsoft just ASSUMES you will have no problems transitioning from XP to Win8. The only users that I know who keep up with these 'versions' are corporations. I work in an IT shop #a large one#, and to upgrade to the next version will literally take us a year to plan for. We also have to work in the OMG factor for users who get totally lost with the new look and feel. Like I said, I'm in IT and it frustrates me when I can't find something or figure something out within the first 2 minutes. At work, we are at Windows 7 and are stalling to upgrade to Windows 8 because of this. Dumb dumb dumb move Microsoft. Oh hey, here's a suggestion, INCLUDE A USERS MANUAL!!! Also, HP has something that acts like a virus, it's to keep track of all your passwords #I forget the name# - I set it up because I was tired of it constantly harassing me to do so, then it wouldn't work and I was locked out of everything that took a password! I had to uninstall it. Garbage. I have a friend who works for Microsoft, I think I'll send her a scathing email. She says their suggestions go up the ladder to the top....

A nice AIO for the price in the category

I purchased this AIO a couple of weeks ago. I like the features and performance. The only thing bothering me is that it does not come with some of the software packages listed in the BestBuy sales ad - Adobe Photoshop Elements and Adobe Premiere Elements. There is no DVD in the box and no instruction for how to get the software packages. BestBuy said it could be downloaded from hp, but hp said it should be from BestBuy (software key and website for download), and back and forth. If someone has already obtained the software packages, would you please kindly post your solution? Thanks.

I have been searching online to buy a new PC the past few years. What I dislike is how fast technology can get outdated. This all in one PC is for the avg user, nothing fancy, not the top of the line PC, it's just a good PC. Based on price this PC is a steal. I researched the parts and I'm happy. I expect to own this PC the next 6 to 10 years. It's gonna maintain relevance for the avg user like me.

I've only had this computer for less than a week, but really love it. It really has an awesome sound system, and the picture is perfectly clear. It is a little hard right now getting around and knowing where to go to get to where I need to be. I'm sure in time I'll have it down pat.

Extremely happy with this product. Sets up easy, no wires, quite the transition from Windows XP and well worth it. Transfer of data was smooth, all of my data switched over and now I have the same data in a new and fantastic all in one machine. Great Job.

I was debating whether to get a desktop PC or this All in One PC. I made the right decision, gone is the clutter that there would have been had I got the desktop. Still getting used to Window 8' great touchscreen which is very responsive. Beats audio is great sound from this machine. It is a little pricey, but the PC is built to last for me the next 10 years.

    Excellent computer inaccurate product features

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Product feature description states Adobe Photoshop Elements and Adobe Premiere Elements are included but were not loaded on the machine nor was a disk included in the container. HP Sales indicates software is included for the model number but HP technical support indicates they don't provide third party software. The display model did not have the software nor was there a disk in another computer box. Best Buy says it is up to HP to provide the software but I can return the computer if I want. It looks like I have 12 days to decide whether to keep the machine as I doubt resolution of the software issue is going to happen.

I think I put this at the feet of HP. Buyer beware of the crapware on this computer. I have owned it now for a couple of months. HP does not offer the normal option of a minimal system refresh. I even reached out to them about this directly and there is not one. When I tried to do a clean install and download their drivers it appears to be missing some software that comes with the original machine this is needed. I have yet to get this system stable no matter what I try. Event Viewer and I are now very good friends. If I had to do it over again I would buy another computer from BestBuy. Just not this computer

    Great for business...but nothing else

I bought this computer about 2 and half weeks ago, and it came in a few days after that. I opened it, set it up and everything seemed to be working fine. The only issue I had was that the 4 control buttons on the right hand side did not work, nor did the HDMI In port right below them. After some technical support from HP and Geed Squad, the GS tech that I was working with convinced me (since I was will within the exchange/return time-frame) to exchange it for a desktop computer instead of an all-in-one. That was the best decision ever. Not only did I get a much more powerful computer, but I got it AND a 24" HD monitor for almost $100 less than the AIO. Bottom line, this computer is not that great for anything more than Word or Quickbooks. Do not buy this if you plan on doing anything more than that, because you will regret it. It also seems to have some hardware issues.

    WTF

There is not a day that goes by where I don't want to take a shotgun to this. Thinking that a $1,000+ desktop would be amazing and way better than a laptop, boy was I wrong. My initial impression was pure amazement. It really does look impressive. But looks can be quite deceiving. After owning this for almost a year I look forward to the day it dies. Currently I just had to hard reset it twice. And the Adobe plugin fails within min. I actually sent this review from my phone. My advice DO NOT GET THIS! Unless you love frustration and hard resets then this is the computer for you.

    Unreliable

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I bought this computer in January. The Geek Squad has attempted to "fix" it twice and it is now going back to HP for repair. The programs on the computer, such as Office, HP printer drivers, Windows 8.1 interface, keep failing. The Geek Squad has basically told me that the problem resides with my using the computer. Real good attitude on their part. At no point are they willing to admit it's flawed and should be replaced with a new one. So I'm unhappy with the computer, HP, the Geek Squad, and Best Buy in general.

I have had nothing but problems with this pc since day one. I have repeatedly called HP support to get things straighten out. I have been a HP customer for over 20 years and would have believe they would make a product this bad.
