Perfect PC for limited desk space. Windows 8 takes some getting used to, but isn't as bad as I had been told. Tutorials are helpful.

Have had the HP Envy for nearly two month. It is easy to use and fast. Like the standard features it offers. Would recommend to anyone they purchase this unit. First wireless computer I have owned and love not have all the garbage on the desk from my old computer. Great HP.

The Desktop PC is a great value with great features and hardware specifications. The single purchase included a "Bundle"- Due to the value of the hardware we bought "the Bundle" of Nerd services and security software items. I rate the nerd services very poorly after having needs for their support. Hold times were extremely long and the techs were very unknowledgeable about some basics. I began not using nerd services and began using the hardware and software Support that comes free from the manufacturers with the purchase of their items.
The bundle security software lacks basic features such as "back up" routines and spam folders. The PC came with a free trial of a 2nd security software and the 2 together does "almost" what a good competitor does alone. Now that the trial version has expired I'm left with "the bundle" security software which will now be uninstalled and replaced with the better competitor. This alone was a $50 loss on the purchase. Nerd service subscriptions were an additional loss.

Wireless PC and components are nice. The beats sound system is soothing when listening to music. It's cool that each user has a choice to use the touch screen or keyboard.

Nice large screen. The windows page is confusing, prefer the traditional set up. Taking a while to become familiar with all the apps and operations.

I bought this product because I believe it is a good value for the money. It was not that hard to set up, though the" no text" directions are somewhat confusing...it would be helpful to have text and not just pictures.
I was glad that I bought the Geek Squad help as that has been invaluable in learning different terms for what I did on my old computer.
Be prepared for re-learning on Windows 8.1 if you have not bought a computer in a while.

With 47% of computer users formally using XP, Microsoft made a terrible mistake by putting out this replacement OS and making it almost impossible to understand. Many people are not tech-savvy, like me. I'm 82. There should have been a simplified version like Windows 7. My Geek Squad tech simplified mine to where I at least have some idea what to do, but it's still a product only for the "brainy". I think Windows 8.1 is going to be very slow taking off.

Windows 8 is my primary hurdle. . . but I am learning it a little more each day. It is intuitive enough that this is possible even for an old bird like me. I don't touch screen an advantage over keyboarding or mousing. . .in fact, I don't like having to lift my arm and reach, when the keyboard-mouse are right here. It is not more efficient to havea to go through layers to get to what I want to use or what I use on a daily basis. I don't care about cute icons or all the apps that have been loaded. Do appreciate having
Skype and the Cloud. Overall, I am nicely pleased.

the only thing missing is a larger disk drive for performing advanced graphics. Otherwise a good system, (a little more memory would be great).

My Gateway tower that I have been using for many years was showing it's age and it was time to upgrade. Purchasing this computer put the fun back in computing again. I love the touch screen and it came with a program called Dragon Assistant that's a lot of fun. I can execute commands and insert text simply by speaking my thoughts. Also, being an all in one computer, I was able to eliminate a ton of wires, making things look much neater. The computer is fast and reliable, a true joy to operate. To date, I'm truly happy with my purchase!
