Third time is a Carven (Charm)....

Getting a laptop for back to school- easier said than done. I had bought and returned 2 computers at Best Buy, Levittown before this HP Envy 360. The first two times, all the associates were busy with multiple customers who, also were trying to buy a computer... we made purchases without having all the information... upon arriving home, both computers were much too slow. Upon our third visit, we met a gentleman named Carven.... bless his soul! This man had the patience of a saint. My girlfriend and I were bouncing from laptop to laptop - so fearful we would buy another laptop and have to return it yet again. Carven went above and beyond, giving us honest answers to our questions and comparing certain instances & questions to his own life experiences (and laptop use). We must have been there for over 2 hours. And similar to the first two times, there were many other customers there - trying to get help with answers to their questions. The difference this time, is Carven never forgot about us. Because of how unsure I was, I would tell him, "Okay, go help someone else and I'll think about what I want to do..." 5-10 minutes later, there Carven was again, to answer about 50 more questions I had. Poor guy, I really made him work. BUT - my boyfriend, myself and Carven finally decided on The HP Envy x360. We bought it with a certainty, that we did not have while purchasing the other two. Fast forward a month, and I am in LOVE with this computer. It is just what I needed, FAST & able to MULTITASK with no problem. It also came with all the bells and whistled that I preferred but did not necessarily need - like a touch screen. Carven deserves a promotion - truly. Thank you Carven, for being a caring, hardworking and genuinely GOOD HEARTED individual - you made the start of my semester stress free and easy. I appreciate you and will be back to purchase any future electronics from you!

I seriously love this laptop! It has an amazing battery life of nearly 48 hrs and is quick to charge. It is small, lightweight, and great when you are on the go, but still need to finish a paper or project. This computer is capable of anything from writing a quick essay or playing elden ring.

This is the second HP Envy laptop that we're using for our business. It's replacing a Lenovo we originally bought in 2015. Though the 15.6" touchscreen is smaller than our other 17" model purchased in 2017, the real difference is not having a number keypad to the right of the qwerty layout. We love the nightfall black look vs. the chrome body too. The dark color with white lighted keys creates a good contrast whether working during the day or late into the night. In addition, the black version was nearly $100 in savings.

This computer is awesome. I highly recommend it. I use it to tutor online and having a touchscreen makes it so easy. I love the size not too big or too small plus it is really lightweight. It was definitely worth the money. It has great battery life and fingerprint touch to open and it looks sleek.

Defective product (vertical line on screen the 1st time I opened it, I was excited and recorded a video of me opening it since it was a gift for my sister on her wedding! Unfortunately, I did NOT pay attention to the vertical line on the screen! I did not want to set up the computer for her, and then closed it and saved till I traveled overseas to attend her wedding and give her this gift!!!... When she opened it at home, she noticed the vertical line!.. I was sooooo sad and did not expect any issues with a brand new computer! I had no idea bestbuy sells defective products!! Since the super short return period of 14 days !!

I've had this laptop for 2 years and can definitely express my happiness with it. It got me through college and remote work. Its speed is great and screen sensitivity is excellent. The only features that need consideration are the speakers and maximum screen brightness level (as this may need to be brighter for some.)

I have had this computer for a couple weeks now and i love it! The speed compared to my older laptops is beyond anything I could imagine. This is truly an upgrade for me and should be good for many years to come. I recommend this computer over other more budget systems because those will become obsolete sooner than later. The build quality is there I prefer this aluminum case over the other plastic cased laptops. The screen is nice and big/bright. The touchscreen is just a plus for me even tho I never thought of owning a touch enabled laptop. Overall a great buy. Also regarding the upgrades that can be done. I see many questions online about the ssd and also the memory. Many sites including here on bestbuy have had HP reps answer and say that it cannot be done, but I can tell you from experience that you CAN absolutely change the ram and ssd. I already put in a 1tb n.2 drive and also put in 32gb of ram.

    HP Envy x360

The HP Envy laptop offers a compelling overall experience, but its hinges and battery life fall short of expectations. The right hinge broke after a year of use, followed by the left hinge three months later. This indicates a potential design flaw that HP should address in future Envy models. Additionally, the battery life consistently falls below the advertised range. I typically get around 4-5 hours of battery backup, which is significantly lower than the claimed 8 hours. This discrepancy can be frustrating for users who rely on their laptops for extended periods without access to power outlets. I appreciate the laptop's overall performance, display quality, and portability. However, the hinge issues and underwhelming battery life raise concerns about its durability and reliability. HP should prioritize addressing these shortcomings to enhance the overall value proposition of the HP Envy series.

The aesthetic of this HP laptop is unmatched currently, the performance of Ryzen processors is the best bang for your buck in windows land. Unfortunately, I did too much research before hand and saw that there was a major flaw in the previous years' hinges. Where the hinges are failing and even shattering screens in the process, then it's on you, the consumer, to pay for shipping and repairs. I'd like to invest in a solid laptop, not something that's going to die in a couple years, even though this laptop does feature RAM upgradeability which is quite rare in 2021. I got an open box and right off the bat noticed the hinge on the one side was crooked and sent it right back. I was also surprised at how hefty this guys was and wanted something more light weight and portable. The all metal and dark brown build was certainly something beholden for sure. The search continues, however, I am typing this from a m1 MacBook Air which is surprisingly a great value if you like iOS.

In the one day that I have had this laptop, I can say that I enjoy its style and strong performance as a laptop. It's snappy and allows you to get work done. I haven't put it through a lot of work but it seems that the cooling systems do a very good job at maintaining the PC and it seems that HP has done a great job with some of the software that they use to help you maintain the PC's great hardware. My only problem is the size of the SSD, but this isn't meant o be a gaming laptop, it's for those who need a college laptop and some space to keep those oh so tiny word documents and pictures they might need in class. I do feel the laptop might end up being a bit too big for classrooms, so if you are concerned about laptop size, maybe run for the smaller HP Envy or the Pavillion.

I've been doing everything off my android phone for over fifteen years, so, this was a major upgrade for me. Looks great and sleek, but, more importantly it just works amazingly. It's quick and has plenty of power and memory for everything I need which is nice to have in a set package and to not overbuy by upgrading ridiculously thinking I need more... everything. Touch screen is nice and responsive. When did touch screens become a thing for laptops? I'm so behind in the tech world I'm almost a luddite. Anyway, I'll just say if this is within your budget and you won't be film editing or composing operas, but, need something that has somewhat upper mid-range capabilities than this might be a good choice for you.
