Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the fast performance, touch screen, lightweight design, and reasonable price of the ENVY x360 laptop. They appreciate its speed, clear display, portability, and value for money. However, customers are negative about the fan noise, average battery life, weight, overheating issues, and limited number of USB ports. They mention that the fan can be loud during normal use, the battery life could be better, it is heavier than expected, it can overheat when charging while in use, and it could use more USB ports.

it took GS over 3 weeks how to figure out how to get MSO 365 loaded onto my employees computer! having this outsourced to India is a sad state! Not being able to speak with a human being in the US is more than frustrating!!!

Overall a great computer, noticed there some things I don't like. The brightness can't be adjusted when unplugged from power source. It's already crashed and said I shut down improperly. I didn't shut down at all. I close the lid like I do everytime I don't use it.

    Terrible for Gaming

I regret buying this laptop. A lot. Three months in and I've started shopping for something different, which really sucks considering that it is a $1000 laptop. Note that I got the model with Intel graphics, which was a big mistake. If you only need it for Office, email, and internet browsing, it'll do just fine. (But in that case, you could probably find a good enough model for 3 or 4 hundred dollars cheaper.) I have not been able to find a single game on Origin or Steam that it can play without freezing and crashing, even with settings turned down. My suggestion is if you plan on getting this for any type of gaming, splurge on the NVIDIA or don't bother buying it at all. (And since the graphics are integrated, I can't upgrade to a better GPU.)

This is a review of ALL my purchases of 8/28/20. I NEVER GOT THE OPPORTUNITY TO USE THIS COMPUTER OR THE OFFICE DOWNLOAD BECAUSE THE INFORMATION , UPLOADED BY A GEEK SQUAD AGENT, WAS INCOMPLETE, LEAVING MY EXCEL, WORD AND QUICKEN FILES WITH ONLY PARTIAL DATA AND WHAT WAS UPLOADED WAS THE OLDEST INFO. After several trips back and forth to the store for help, I became very distressed and decided to return the computer. The only comment I would make regarding this HP computer, is that the lighted keyboard and silver key pad, is very glaring on the eyes. It may be able to turn this feature off, but I never had a chance to be concerned with this procedure due to all the other issues I was experiencing.

The computer of my dreams that quit working in the first month...twice! Purchased #1 on 10/11/20 and it quit. Then exchanged for #2 11/17/20 and it also quit so returned it on 12/5/20. Just didn't turn on, two separate devices. The Geek Squad concluded, as I remember, that although the battery was fully charged, the screen/computer was not receiving that signal and so wouldn't turn on. The exact same problem twice with the same model computer made me think I am either cursed or its a manufacturers defect. For my final replacement (#3), I ended up getting a similar model in another brand. This other brand computer is still working after a month, so maybe I'm not cursed after all.

    Broken Power Button

One would think that pressing a power button would result in the computer turning on. But not with HP. I tried pressing it once, and nothing. Pressing it harder--nothing. Pressing and holding down--nothing. Pressing multiple times--nothing. Then, press again, and seemingly at random, it starts up. And this is a consistent problem.

For some reason the screen goes black and I can't seem to turn it back no matter how many times I shut it down it has not even been a month yet. Everything was good until suddenly it won't show anything on the screen even tho it's on.

The computer gets so hot while in use it’s unsafe. Weather on flat surface or not it still gets hot and weather it’s charging or not the heat is the same I do t trust it.

    Such a Disappointment

this laptop was ok when it worked (always had issues with random blue screens. these would resolve themselves with a restart). However, after having it for 15 months, the motherboard crashed. Since it was out of warranty, HP wouldnt do anything. it makes me sick to spend over $1000 on a piece of crap equipment that is useless now. it would cost over $600 to replace the motherboard, which at that point, you could buy another laptop. After reading multiple forums, it appears HP has an issue with it's motherboard crashing. Cant believe they're robbing people like this.

Needed a computer to edit. This was great to search the web, but for the price and the lack on memory - it didn't work. I recommend this only if you plan on doing simple, non memory tasks. It was a deal breaker for me.

I should of returned it when i opened it and saw that the numbers and letters are the same color as the pads so it is impossible to see the keyboard. There should be a contrast. Okay to use in the dark. Day time is a pain!!
