    I've had HP laptops in the past and none have been this bad in terms of quality control. I've exchanged this laptop three times and all had been plagued with excessive backlight bleed and bent metal inlays on the lid of the laptop. One of the laptops had bent vent slats and another had a big scratch on the metal below the screen. Honestly, I got a great deal with this laptop when you consider the internals and the price. But the quality control is horrendous. Buyer beware.

    It was pretty on the outside. I was very disappointed, again, with HP. After only a week of purchasing it and not using it other than setting everything up at start up, it stopped working. It would not turn on at all and even after contacting HP support, they were unable to make it work. I have always purchased HP laptops, and I really did not want to purchase another one, but the salesman insisted it was one of the best on the market at the moment. It kept giving me an error message and kept rebooting, then it never came back out of it. Look and feel of the laptop was nice.

    My plug to my computer is not always connected. The charge power don't work all the time. My laptop makes a humming sound. Wise i could of change it. I was told my time was up to return or exchange.

    I will never buy an HP again! Installed my security before any activity on this unit. Within a week the mouse and touchscreen started freezing/ not responding. Then an system error message and shut itself down. After many calls, shipping to the authorized repair center, and advanced to escalation team the finally replaced the entire motherboard. Then I wake up this morning and all sound system is disabled. I just received this early December 2021. Nothing but a great big disappointing headache. Wish I could return it.

    This product has very low quality. It was purchase on may 2020 and 2 months after needed to be sent to repair. Very disappointed. They stated something related to the battery. Then, I used it for another year and it is now again under repair due to motherboard failures. It is un precedent that we have to go through this. I have claimed I deserved a new one. I'm not sure if best buy is sourcing repaired devices since it has happened with other items purchased here.

    frozen keyboard and mouse after 3 weeks, defective

    After 3 weeks, the keyboard and mouse were no longer functional. After taking back to Best Buy thinking it needed to be re-formatted to get it to work, we found out the parts were defective. Best Buy tech researched it and said this has been a common problem and recommended we not get another one and switch to a similar machine, the Samsung. I usually only get HP's. There are not a lot of computers available at Best Buy at this time likely related to the Covid virus problem so, we changed to the Samsung. Disappointed with HP this time.

    Just purchased it. A critical thin red line is on the screen which doesn't go away even after the rest!! I am returning this computer

    The rating reflects the quality of my laptop. If you decided to purchase this laptop, please use it extensively in your return window. I unknowingly bought a defective laptop. I did not use it as much during the return window. When I was using it extensively, I had issues with my screen. The screen would start flickering. By this time, I had past the return window and had to deal with HP to fix it. So PLEASE, be cautious when purchasing. Other than my issues, the laptop would run just fine.

    The battery does not last AT ALL! And it always overheats, even when its not running for long. Not worth your investment.

    Review, Okay! Bought only as a processor for Roli Seaboard, and Denon MC7000 DJ controller, and made sure to purchase laptop had the extra port for podcasting setups. Your "Envy" constantly pops and distorts after 10 minutes of audio passing thru it, as if the sample rate is imbalanced, can't figure out what to access and adjust, can't figure out WHO can figure this out, and cannot figure out why such a new advancement in technology, can't do what the old stuff does with EASE?!?!?

    Got the laptop on sale on a Sunday. Wednesday it died. No power will not turn on. Same as other reviews. Seems to be hit or miss. I will return it and get another as it’s 200 dollars more now. For the specs and when it was working it was great.

    Waited over 1hour,had appointment scheduled did no good. Person who helped me didn’t put my SIM card in had to purchase one from Verizon 2nd scheduled appointment again over an hour wait there to show how to set up new laptop didn’t finish because he (the salesman) said too busy to show how to install antivirus and would have to come back. Horrible customer experience would not recommend Geek squad to anyone nor would I recommend Bestbuy

    Noisy fan and it quit working in less than a year. Great looking and feels good. The all metal case is nice.

    After tow years that I bough it, the laptop is broken. I took it to repair at Best Buy Geek Squad and after almost three months “in service” they just gave me back the laptop in the same condition, broken. They said they are not able to fix it. We are living in 2022 and they can’t fix a recent model laptop, unbelievable. So frustrating.

    Got this for my daughter who is on her way to university. The operating system is so big it takes up the entire C drive space. I paid EXTRA for MORE space, but it's located on the D drive- awesome. Laptop needs an update- not enough room on C drive to update. Can't move programs from C to D without HP's help. Now HP wants me to pay them to fix it? It came to me this way and I can't use it without paying more money? I think not.

    Purchased June 2020 and 9 months later the touch screen stopped working. Less than a week later the computer would not even power up to turn on. I took to my local Geek Squad and they are recommending that I send it in for a check which could total up to $600-700 for those two issues. This is my 4th HP and I paid extra for this model but it hasn't been worth it obviously.
