Wonderful job on the laptop, although the disk player is hard to open but once opened worked fine, now it doesn't open at all. I'm glad it has a warranty & I also purchased a protection plan. Will be bringing it in. I hardly use the disk player so it wasn't a big deal but needs to be addressed. Laptop works great.

Perfect size screen to watch shows and movies, but the camera on the other hand could have been better. Its not as clear as i'd hoped. Great speakers, wish they were higher up on the laptop though instead of being on the bottom. Also, wish there wasn't so many options installed on the touchpad originally. I had to always be aware of where I was touching, so eventually I just turned off all the extra features aside from scrolling and tapping. Other than that, this laptop is wonderful!

It is very easy and good for my daughter for School, is not complicated it is light and has everything she needs.....Good Computer!

Needed it to help with my school projects and typing up papers. Needed something light to carry with me to class. Serves its purpose.

A decent computer, and for the money, it would be hard, if not impossible, to find a better deal. Knowing it was " Geek Squad " certified, I knew it would be a good as new product. As it turns out, it is.

This refurbished laptop is a great value windows 8 machine that will meet my needs for web browsing, video streaming and general document processing.

We bought this laptop as a Christmas gift for our son loved it so much we bought one for ourselves. Great graphics and super fast.

Haven't been able to get my computer going yet. It works but I can't get anyone to set it up for me yet.Taking it to a friends house tomorrow.I'm sure he'll be able to set it up with my choice of browser .Then I can give a much higher rating .

It works great. Runs smooth after all the initial updates. Im assuming i'd been off for awhile because it downloaded about updates once i got everything going.

I have been using this for about three weeks now, and I must say, I am not very impressed with this laptop. It will frequently give me the blue screen of death, saying it has a "system thread exception not handled". From what I have read about that error, it has to do with the video driver, but the machine says it is all correct and as it should be. Oh well, I may just load Linux Mint on here and go on. It also seems to be updating something every time I use it, then it is very sluggish. It is my first time using Windows 8.1, so maybe it is normal for the OS, I don't know, but I am not impressed!

The laptop it's ok. The price is really good. The only problem is the audio. When I put a song it doesn't sound very good...

The laptop works like new! We are very pleased with this purchase.

got this geek squad referb. laptop and now every time i try to watch a vid online i get BSOD and there seems to be no fix from where im at. does not help im stuck in Afghanistan, thanks geek squad

One of the computers immediately broke and we were told we could return it but when we sent an employee to do so he was told he had to return it for store credit

This is my first time buying refurbished, so it may be a one-off or it may not be limited to Best Buy, but I don't think I will buy refurbished again. First time trying windows 8, and while I can still say I prefer Win7 in terms of ease of use, Win8 could have been workable. The app store in particular was interesting to browse through. The issue I had was with the hardware. The specs and price on this laptop seemed among the best for the price, but after using it for about a week, I noticed that there was an issue once I tried to type in a Word document: the Down and Up arrow keys on the keyboard did not work. Thankfully, this occurred within the 15 day period to get a full refund, which I opted for. If not, there may've been a 1 year Geek Squad warranty on it, but since the 'base hardware functionality' was already giving out, I figured it would be best not to chance it. I hate to write a review like this as it probably kills business, but at the same time I have no idea how this could've been overlooked. Maybe it's refurbished in general, but I will likely stick to New from now on. A note, is that the latest models of laptops I've seen seem to have pretty weak keyboards in general, and particularly with the Up and Down arrow keys (as opposed to my current Toshiba laptop that I was trying to replace, L505D-S5965, which has a full keyboard with numpad and still runs well, it is just starting to get dated). It may be that the best option is to buy a laptop (as, it is still a good value for the specs) and just use a USB keyboard instead, or buy a cheap desktop.
