I would like to recommend you to buy HP laptops I3/I5/I7 if you wanted to use them for personal home usages. Are really very good.

I ordered this computer about a month ago. It shipped very quickly and 3 days later, I was opening the box and walking through the startup. However, right off the bat, I noticed something was wrong when it had problems connecting to my personal wifi. Long story short, I ended up returning this one that very night at the nearest store because the wifi wouldn't work even after reloading each driver. I purchased another refurbished model shortly thereafter and the keyboard wasn't functioning properly; return #2. Needless to say, it's a month later, and I still don't have a PC. I wouldn't recommend ANYTHING Geek Squad Refurbished to anyone. But if you do purchase, make sure to ship to store so you can test it there and return faster if needed.

First, I am not fussy about computers. I never buy top of the line and I keep them until they die. My computing needs are very simple: email and word processing. So, when I say i hate this computer, it isn't because I am doing things that take up crazy amounts of RAM or because I am used to super-speedy computers. Rather, it is because this computer really does suck. It is slow. It takes several minutes to load up when I turn it on. It takes at least a minute to open Word and the Internet. It takes up to 30 seconds to execute commands, like "print" and "save." Several times a day I get "Not Responding" messages and just have to wait patiently for the program to recover and respond. In other words, this computer has a very hard time processing even the most basic tasks. Other annoyances: The mouse is jumpy in that I will drag my finger and the cursor is going where it is supposed to then all of a sudden the cursor is somewhere else or it has opened a link/program/app. The screen is kinda pixi-ly. I got used to it after a week or so, but it still bothers me sometimes. I also don't like that the keyboard isn't backlit. For some reason, this computer does not get along with my HP printer. They keep losing connection with one another and I have to uninstall and re-install the printer. All-in-all, this is a terrible computer and I do not recommend it. I've had it for 3 weeks now. Not sure if I can still return it. Looking into that tomorrow.

THE BAD: starts freezing up on me sometimes after only one click of the mouse on something. Also, sometimes it wont open apps from the windows store on my computer-- ex: sometimes when I click Netflix, it will show the first screen, but it wont even load to let me pick a show/movie. Instead it just switches to the desktop. This happens with other apps too. THE GOOD: the touchscreen works very well, sometimes even better than the mouse. THE CONFUSING: I'm not sure what's up with this computer and I'm not sure if its just because it's refurbished or its just the computer model... I know my previous computer had a lot more memory, better processor, etc. but this computer sometimes has a hard time doing the simplest of tasks (ex: opening Microsoft word) but then other times it brings it up right away. I never have more than one program open when it does this either so it shouldn't have to work that hard. I haven't had this computer for a super long time so if anything changes, I will try to edit.

I bought this laptop. And it is absolutely amazing. Runs fast and smoothly, no problems. Definitely recommend this for college students.
