it is great to watch movies in such a big screen and play games. its a bit hard to carry it everywhere because of its size (doesn't fit everywhere) the battery consumption is fast. processor is very good and makes multitasking very easy. i would recommend it to the beginners.

Great screen, fast, beats anything else for this price ($400 including taxes). I bought it refurbished and its like new. It comes with a year's worth M Word which I wish it was more. Nice texture, color and very sensitive keyboard. The only thing is I wish the up and down arrows were a little bigger. You wont regret this purchase.

My other hp notebook was eight years old and cost three times more. This new hp computer is outstanding in every way. It's super fast and has plenty of memory, processing and storage capacity. Thank you.

So far I have no problem, in the beginning I had some issues, but I took it to Best Buy Geek Squad, and they told me what it was, as I did not uploaded the antivirus which I got with the laptop. I use it for my work, and personal stuff, it is good at the price I paid.

This is great, runs perfectly still a year later, and got free update to Windows 10 with my purchase. Highly recommended.

exceeded my expectations for a refurbished computer

This laptop is amazing, for the first 2 weeks I forgot it was even used and refurbished. I legitimately believed it was new until I remembered I bought it refurbished. HP always delivers great laptops and the Pavilion is the star pupil. Geek Squad did an amazing job restoring this amazing machine.

I have been really impressed with this computer. $379 for 4GB memory and 750GB hard drive and I5 processor. The 17.3'' screen and windows 8.1 is really nice. I'm not sure if the previous reviewer realizes that if he swipes to the right on the finger pad you can change the brightness to whatever you want. This laptop looks best with the brightness at 50%. Only con is its a little too heavy. But not a big deal.

great buy for the price. touch pad sucks bought a mouse now it works fine. other then that not a bad computer.

Bought it as Refurbished, I do not think anybody did anything to it. Does not work Crashes all the time. Waste of my money

The network card does not recognize ethernet consistently. Unfortunately, I work from home and must be hardwired, so wireless is not an option. A $25 adapter is holding me over. Geek Squad will fix it all, but it has to go out to a service center for couple weeks. I think a lower quality new computer at the same price may be better than a refurbished if your computer is a part of your daily life. Otherwise, it's been a good deal for the year I used it on wireless.

I bought this refurbished laptop and so far it's working great. Only problem is the background is really bright which makes the fonts unclear or hard to read. Really stresses your eyes! I don't know if this is problem with Windows 8 or laptop itself, but other than that its great!
