I've had this computer for a few months now and I was waiting to give a review until I could see how it functioned over time. The primary reason I went for this product, rather than a tablet with an external keyboard, is because I needed a fully functional PC for school and work but I wanted something that I could use like a tablet for certain tasks. I should make the point that this is a fully functional PC that can be used as a tablet (NOT a tablet that can replace a PC). I also want to be clear that I am reviewing the PC and NOT Windows 8.1. PROS This computer is a basic PC that can easily convert to a tablet. It is a nice feature and I love being able use the PC in tablet form, especially when I'm shopping online, doing basic web searches, or streaming video. The computer is very sleek in design as well as being fairly lightweight and easily portable. The keyboard is the perfect size. I call it the "goldilocks" keyboard because it's not too small and it's not too big - it's just right. The screen resolution is very nice and the sound quality is superb. CONS The only real issue I've had with the computer is every once in a while the touchscreen tablet feature stops working. I have to restart the computer in order to get the touchscreen to work again. This happens VERY rarely, and it's normally after it's been on for a long period of time without being used. The only other issue is that the actual computer is in the monitor, not the keyboard (as is the case with most laptops). Because of this, the laptop is kind of top heavy. I have a roll-around laptop caddy that I use, and it's not an issue if you have the computer on a flat, stable surface. If, however, you will be using it on your lap (without any kind of pillow-table to steady it on), it will be uncomfortable as the weight of your hands/arms keeps the computer from falling back. Once again, if the laptop is on a flat, stable surface it does not do this. Obviously when buying a computer, you need to find one that will suit your needs. I am happy with this purchase as it fulfills everything I require in a computer. Hope this helps and happy shopping!

This is a very good laptop. I bought it as a gift for a high schooler. Being able to switch between tablet and full fledge laptop is great at this price point. The hinge which attaches tablet to keyboard is not very sturdy so as long as you are careful when attaching or detaching, it's a nice laptop.

Constructed solidly. Display is a good size (bigger than iPad) so it can do a good job to double as both a laptop and a tablet computer.

Laptop works as one unit. Then it can detach ino a tablet. It is not as user friendly as an Apple ipad. I do not like Windows 8.1 at all. Waiting for Windows 10.0

Purchased as a refurbished model. The i3 processor is strong enough to run Chrome, office, and a few other programs without a hitch. Which makes this machine good for students especially college students who can use it in tablet mode to read ebooks. For the price this 2 in 1 performs well but will lag with heavy use but for most folks who just want to check out youtube and update social media this is more than enough and is at an amazing price at 379

Pros: After owning a Surface pro 3 with the same processor but only 64gb of storage this was a nice upgrade and cost significantly less. Screen is a bit top heave so it does tend to fall over unless it is positioned on a hard surcace. Great if you don't feel like bringing the keyboard with you to watch a movie. All in all this is a great machine. Do I wish it had a faster processor like a 4th gen i5 vs. the 4th gen i3 yes, but people purchasing this probably wouldn't know the difference. The touch screen has a Wacom digitizer in it and after updating windows and the drivers it now supports a stylus/pen suitable for the Wacom digitizer. Wouldn't own it if it was using a bay trail processor but definatley the cheapest alternative to a Surface Pro 3. I miss my Surface Pro 3 for the resolution and aspect ration but with the money I saved by getting rid of the Surface Pro I was able to get a refurbished version of this for less than half the cost of the Surface pro with keyboard. Great battery like. Runs my plex media server. Just installed Microsoft Flight Simulator and COD MW and both play great on here. Seems to be a rather significant jump from the bay trail atom processors. Cons: A little clunky and heave but what can you expect when you get a 13." tablet with keyboard doc for $350 so not really a con. Could use a full USB and Full HDMI port on the Screen but there are other ways to make due. Will definitly upgrade to one of the newer models when it too drops in price significantly like this one did.

This is my first time purchasing refurbished PC. I wanted to play a certain PC game, which require a high-spec PC. and at the same time I was looking for most inexpensive option to play the game. I do not have any trouble playing the game so far and I am pretty happy about the results because I was afraid that this PC might not be able to handle the game. The best things about this PC is that you can detach the screen and treat it like a tablet. Also the detachable keyboard is solidly-made, which makes this PC heavier but makes it really easy to type even on my lap. This PC is really great for its fairly inexpensive price.

I love that I can separate it and use it as a tablet or leave it as a laptop It is a very nice system and not bulky

Excellent convertible - some minor issues with network connectivity - relatively slow transmission rates for a 'N' network. Handles most program and game processes without any issues.

Was shipped on time..great product- I purchased for school and it has all the features I was looking for.

We really enjoy the computer, we use it for many different things.

This HP lab top was a great deal for me as I was looking for something inexpensive for school. The 2-1 design is excellent for whenever I feel like you youtube. And I couldn't of had it any better with the beats by dre sound.

this computer is a beauty. However, I never even got it to turn on & I had to return it to best buy. Be very cafeul with these detachable laptops, I've now been told they pretty much ALL have the same issue at one point or another. The dock will not recognize the monitor is attached & you will not be able to turn it on. Buyer beware. I ended up purchasing a similar touch screen laptop which flips the other way

Applications are easy to use. Easy to low at this photo and it has good security and I would recommend this computer to in a war going off to college or starting off in computer technology .

This is my 1st 2 in 1 and I absolutely love it!!! Good quality at a good price!

I purchased this item because I figured it was a good deal but it turned out not to be so. This computer had a mind of its own. I believe this unit was infected with a virus. It was constantly updating and I was constantly getting redirected to unrelated sites on the internet. I returned it to the store and got a new one.

Easy to setup and use as a tablet or laptop. My HP has worked great for my online class and use in the classroom with young children.

Work very well. Made kids very happy. I buy all my computers at best buy
