Was comparing this and iMac. Softwares that I use at school and work are not compatible with Mac, so ended up choosing this one. iCore7 has been doing wonderful. My friend who has Mac said it looks better than Mac, and has HD that thin Macbook does not have. Looking to get a pen to maximize the touch screen feature.

I took about a month reviewing different devices before purchasing this laptop. Great feel and it looks very modern. I personally do not use the tablet function too often but I feel that is more for personal preference. I enjoy using the Microsoft edge internet because you can write on the webpage and save it on One note. I am a student that has about 2 years left and I needed to upgrade from my 5lb 16.4inch computer. VERY satisfied with my purchase.
*Also, I spoke to a geek squad member and they said HP computers are durable and long lasting they very rarely work on them because customers don't come in with problems.

Overall solid computer, very light weight. Has not slowed down in the 2 years I’ve had it. I would highly recommend. I was apprehensive about getting a refurbished laptop, but I have no regrets.

Performance as expected. Good value for money considering SSD and touch screen.
it's not a great tablet in tablet mode but I was not expecting it to be...I consider that to be a bonus. Does run loud sometimes with fan but has no effect on performance.

Great build quality, but outdated 5th gen chip.

The build quality of this HP looks and feels just as good as a MacBook. The hinges are so smooth, you can open it one-handed. The touchpad is smoother than most of the competition's.
With that said, there's a couple things you should be aware of. First, it's being sold at a discounted price because it's an older version with a 5th gen processor. The new ones have 6th gen processors AND a better graphics chip too. According to the reviews I've read, the new ones have better graphics and color performance. I did not know this before I bought it. It performs ok in most situations, but the blacks are very disappointing. If you look at the screen from an angle, even just 20 degrees, the black becomes purple. Also the edges of the screen suffer from a yellowish bleed-through. When you're looking at bright pages it's not a problem, but when watching dark movies it becomes an issue.
The other thing you should be aware of is that the front edge of this laptop is very sharp, so it might irritate your wrists depending on how you type. I wish they had smoothed the edge, like the Dell Inspiron 13 did.
Like all 2-in-1's, it can be used in "tent mode", but if you do that, your table will get scratched by the very sharp metal edges.
Also this laptop isn't bright enough to use outdoors. The MS Surface and the Toshiba Radius are way brighter.
