Very happy with the printer so far. Good wireless access to 7 staff printing to it. Love the duplex printing and copying. Hope it lasts for a few years!

I love this printer! I used to own the 477fdn model, and its operation and firmware was a nightmare, very temperamental, unpredictable, and totally unreliable.
However, this one, the 479fdw, completely redeemed HP’s reputation. The best way to summarize and describe it, it simply works and it’s fast!
I’ve only had it for about a month, but so far so good. It’s a bit pricey, but it’s well worth it for a fully duplex colored laser printer. I think you’ll be well pleased.

Can't beat HP printers. I've owned Canon and Brother laser printers, and they are good quality. But, this HP printer has a lower cost-per-page than both the Canon and Brother. In addition, this HP printer integrates with Windows 10 so easily. I recently built out 2 new Windows 10 computers, and didn't even have to use the Windows 'Add Printer' dialog. Windows 10 recognized the printer and installed it automatically.
The speed and quality of print is excellent. The scan to email feature is easy to setup and use. And the FAX works flawlessly.

I bought this for my personal use. Heavy but was easy to set up. I don't print that often so switching to laser from inkjet will give a better quality print and the ink won't dry up. I haven't had it very long, but so far it works great.

Used heavily for remote office, this printer is reliable and easy to use. The scan quality is inconsistent and not always legible, so you have to rescan. The printer is great at printing large documents.

All aspects of this LaserJet Printer are excellent and have met or exceeded my expectations. This Printer produces crisp text and accurate colors whether printing, copying or scanning. It is very intuitively designed and perfectly sized to fit in the corner of my home office without the need for any ugly wires running across the floor. In short, it is a business office quality printer that is both priced and sized for home office use if you require high quality documents, quick output and the capability for large volume production.

HP Color Laserjet AllinOne M479fdw - rugged beast

This printer out of the box is a beast. Fast startup. High quality printing. Easy copying.
Scanning works great - but was the most difficult setup piece and still struggling to get 1 button scanning to my laptop (works great to a jump drive)...probably just user error, but the setup process for this was not as easy.
Setup was great and I quickly was able to setup ePrinting, wireless printing & connectivity out of the box within 15 minutes.
Like the fact that it just worked.
Only con is the overhead built into the HP Software - kind of takes over your system so I uninstalled that and the laptop & performance of everything improved.

This has been a fantastic addition to my home office. Extremely easy to setup, I got all of our devices (laptops, phones, and iPads) connected to print/scan wirelessly in about 20 minutes. It is very quiet when printing as well - without the shaking that a standard ink-jet printer would have
The weight in the description does seem incorrect, however. It is probably closer to 50-60 lbs (not 114 lbs), which is still pretty heavy for a home office printer, so if weight (and "what am I going to put this thing on?" is a concern, it's not as bad as you may think

I have been meaning to replace my old Xerox at the office, but needing to work from home gave me a push. The Xerox has given excellent service, but connectivity is an issue with a 9 year old machine. This HP is very easy to set up, easy to install software from the HP site, and now I have a professional quality printer/scanner in my home. The older machine needs an assist from a tech guy to remain connected to the network. This is something I can handle. I am a solo attorney, so when this COVID thing enables me to work normally, this HP will follow me to the office.

This color LaserJet printer is a midrange color laser all-in-one with a strong feature set and solid output, making it a good choice for moderate-to-medium-volume businesses and workgroups. It's somewhat smaller and lighter than most competing laser printers. Easy setup allows you to connect mobile devices to the printer without either them or it being part of the same network. In addition to Wi-Fi Direct, other mobile connectivity options include Apple AirPrint, HP ePrint, HP Smart App, and Mobile Apps. The biggest issue with any laser is the high toner cost and replacements. I recommend this printer but be sure that you're aware of the high cost of the toners.

WE love this printer. We spent more on this than I wanted to to...but we took the advice of the associate at the store, and I do not regret it. It is heavy and takes up some space. The setup was very easy and we have had great luck with it. You can print from the mobile phone and it is the first home printer I have successfully been able to scan on. The quality of the print is really good. Like I said, it is pricey, but as the lady at Best Buy said, you get what you pay for.

This LaserJet is a workhorse. In the past we've spent hundreds of dollars on (bubblejet) printers, with only a few being worth their initial cost...up until now! We switched over to LaserJet printing and love this HP printer! The colors are excellent, and while the cartridge cost is a bit daunting, the number of copies printed makes up for it. Super crisp type, great color whether copying or printing and sooooo easy to set up and use. We definitely recommend this printer.

Hands down the best HP Printer on the market. A little pricey, yes. But worth it if you’re doing a little bit of everything.
