More than what I expected for the money. Does everything I need it to do. Wireless printing. Cheaper than my previous printer in price and does more. Really easy to set up as well

I just received my new printer and so far I Love it, it was very easy to setup and I love the touchscreen. It prints very good quality and is definitely worth more than the price!

The biggest gripe I had with HP was that their ink prices were ridiculous. I know they were known for their quality, ease of set up, but you had to take a small home mortgage to cover ink prices. Not anymore. They started this program that, depending on the type of printer (like this one), they will automatically send you ink cartridges depending on how many pages you print a month. Starting @ 2.99 for 50 pages, it really works out in your favor financially depending on how much you print. And they give you a 5 month trial to try it out. I got my 1st shipment about 2 weeks after owning the printer, and I haven’t run out of ink yet. I may have to bump up to the $10/300 pages plan, but compared to $25-40 each for b/w and color, in the end it is worth it not worrying about ink. Oh, the thing prints crisply in either color (haven’t tested ink-intensive things like photos in the like); but for the standard user it is a great buy and the best printer at this point I have owned.

We all know the most expensive part of any printer is the ink it comes with... Well with that being said, this sucker is little more than a couple of super expensive ink cartridges wrapped up in some fancy plastic. The paper is loaded vertically behind the printer and is exposed as opposed to being contained in a tray at the bottom or even in a compartment below the bulk of the printer. This makes loading paper an inconvenience and exposes it to become covered in dust (which can affect print quality) The lid is really flimsy, but that's what you pay for. Finally, replacing the ink cartridges is very likely going to break your printer. They are tucked away so far inside and there is no easy way to access them. You have to reach in with your fingers and push some lever caps and hop you don't knock the slider out of alignment. It prints as expected, but overall, I'd go with one of the upper models HP offers. I haven't had any problems with this particular model, but I like the HP OfficeJet 4630 even better.

If you want a reasonably priced, reliable printer that is simple to install and easy to use, this HP Officejet 3830 is a great choice. The set up takes less than 15 minutes to complete, and it instantly works with all your devices on the same wifi network. This printer is self-explanatory and intuitive. If you can use a regular sized touchscreen smartphone, you can use this with no problem.

This printer has everything I wanted! I've always used HP, but recently purchased a different brand. I am giving that printer away, and replacing it with this one, although there is nothing really wrong with it and it is less than 6 months old. HP print quality is much better and is more intuitive to use. I've always found HP printers to be very reliable as well. And, it was VERY affordable!

First, it was quite inexpensive. Much quieter than my last printer. I am amazed that it has so many functions! All in one...Fax Copy Scan Not sure about the ink replacement so bought extra. Quality seems excellent for the price. The retractable paper holder is very poorly engineered.....hence 4 stars. Would recommend this printer.

Setup was super easy and it is super quiet. Works great on wifi with cross devices. Highly recommend, especially with the HP instant ink program

We have a higher quality printer from HP. So I needed to go and get ink at B.B. and saw this printer on sale for a very inexpensive price. Acquire it and now use it as a secondary printer and when the printing requirements are of the one page. The other printer has the capability of using both sides of the paper so it is more eco friendly but when all it’s needed is one page or is required to have separated pages this make do. Is small enough that it sits next to our bigger one and does not stands out.

I like the fact that it allows fax, print, scan and copy and it is very easy to use, I am happy that I am also able to print from my tablet.

easy set up, works as promised, easy printing from iphone and ipad. Very satisfied. Other functions (copy, scan, fax) work well.

I bought this because it was instant ink compatible. Fairly easy to set up. Prints very nicely. Also nice that it can fax too.

This is my first wireless printer. I am glad that I purchased it because not only can I print from my desktop, I can also print from my tablet, laptop, and cell phone. If someone comes over and needs to print, all I have to do is to give them the code and they can print their documents, too. I am thoroughly satisfied with this all-in-one printer.

Does excellent job. East to operate. Wireless works excellent. Quality and speed is excellent.

It's priced right for what I intend to use it for--which is to have a printer in a summer home where I occasionally have a need to print or copy something. I print out boarding passes, drafts to study spreadsheets or documents, and make quick copies of various things.The print quality is fine. To save on ink, I always use draft quality. But if you need to print something nice, use good paper and set the printer at the best quality and you should find it completely satisfactory. I have no trouble printing from my various devices and from my computer. You can also email a file to your printer's email address and you'll find it waiting for you. I'm not sure how useful this feature really would be but it's kind of fun to know. I found it very easy to print envelops as well.

Love this printer! Easy to set up! Plus u can print from ur phone & its wireless!!! U can even fax if you like!
