The only issue I have is there is no clear warning when an ink cartridge is ready to run out. It does not provide an option to print in one color-for example black. Just all of a sudden, it is out of ink. It will not print if any cartridge is empty. Otherwise, it is working great. Much better machine than the HP Office Pro 9015.

Wish the Hp 6978 would work longer than a year.

However, when you start to get streaking and blank spots and you do all the maintenance to fix the problem and it doesn't work, the 6978 is awful.

Great features for the price

I had a problem with the cover hinge breaking, but I was able to work around that. I used the fax feature regularly, but it was my primary printer. Finally it insisted it had a paper jam when no paper was in the unit. I went back to Best Buy to procure another printer, and this unit was on sale and has many improvements I appreciate. It has performed well so far, and I am very satisfied with it.
