Great Printer but...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The printer is great, it can print and scan double sided copies. The only thing that has happened recently is that it keeps getting stuck when I'm printing double sided worksheets.

Great Value Printer

Replaced an older HP printer that still worked fine, but did not have wifi support for my Android smartphone or iPad. After sale price, trade-in discounts and BestBuy rewards, printer was less than a full set of new ink cartridges for the old printer. Quality is great and the integrated 2 sided feature takes up less space than the older model with same features.

New printer, wish we had our old one back :-(
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We had to purchase a replacement printer/scanner when our HP5700 series decided to plug up it's black cartridge port and we were unable to get it to clear. So we reluctantly picked up this HP6978. Pritnting so far is ok. However we have found the scanner to have way less resolution than our old machine. I printed a number of e-tickets where I actually was concerned they might not work at an entrance handheld scanner (they did work this first time). I should add that the clarity was not limited to printing, finer print on documents we were scanning for e-files were nowhere as sharp as we have been use to. We have been unable to correct this by changing any settings, have'nt yet turned to HP for help though. Should I find a solution, I'll update this review - keeping fingers crossed but not very confident in a sharper resolution. If needed for scanning, think twice/research further in case I'm wrong .
