We had to purchase a replacement printer/scanner when our HP5700 series decided to plug up it's black cartridge port and we were unable to get it to clear. So we reluctantly picked up this HP6978. Pritnting so far is ok. However we have found the scanner to have way less resolution than our old machine. I printed a number of e-tickets where I actually was concerned they might not work at an entrance handheld scanner (they did work this first time). I should add that the clarity was not limited to printing, finer print on documents we were scanning for e-files were nowhere as sharp as we have been use to. We have been unable to correct this by changing any settings, have'nt yet turned to HP for help though. Should I find a solution, I'll update this review - keeping fingers crossed but not very confident in a sharper resolution. If needed for scanning, think twice/research further in case I'm wrong .

Easy to set up. Good quailty printing. I like that you can print from your phone.

This was purchased to replace an Officejet Pro 8500. It has a noticeablly smaller footprint, both on the desk and in height. I avoided the subscription ink plan; my overall printing has been reduced as I download docs or scan docs to PDFs, and the plan wouldn’t be cost-effective. After a month or so of use, I would recommend this for personal/home office use. I don’t know the duty cycle stats to recommend for office use.

I like this printer, I had to get a new one since my last one finally quit. It was a hp too and lasted me a good, 10 years so I wanted to stick with hp. The only issue I have with this printer is that its hard to turn off at times and Its not always visible to laptops when kids go to print. Overall, the quality of the print is great.

Product was a combination of copy, scan and printer that was easy to use. Very dependable.

Love the wireless component to print and the print quality is very good for my home office

This printer was an upgrade from a wired printer that didn’t have the capability to print from my cell phone. I love that I can send things to the printer directly from my cell phone! I also love that it is a copier which helps with kids in school and all of us in organizations where copies are needed.

Super easy to install and get working wireless. Prints good pictures from y9ur phone!

Easy to set up. Once in a while I get an error "printer offline" and it won't print but think that might be a windows 10 glitch. Seems to be ok now. Print quality seems fine, nothing spectacular though especially when printing pictures from on-line. I would recommend this printer if you weren't looking to spend a lot. Seems like a descent printer for the money

This is great printer. It works great wirelessly. Prints very fast and smoothly.

I bought this for my daughter to use at college. I had it unboxed and connected to her wifi network in less time than it took her and her mom to figure out where to move the desk and dresser! And the fact that I haven't had a single call from my girl for "tech support" tells me it's working like a charm, just like I would expect from an HP printer.

This printer has great functionality as it includes printing, copying, scanning, and faxing. It includes the traditional scanner and feeding methods. Size is a bit big, but HP offers other great models that are smaller in size, but lack some features included in this one. Overall a great printer for the price and features included. Be sure to look around at other stores to find the lowest price as they will price match.
