Easy set up, good functionality, good price. Compact, no frills. Don't know how much ink is going to run, but seems to be a good bargain.

Have only had this printer for a little over a week, but it seems to be working fine. the print and scan qualities are excellent. My only issue is the speed at which it runs. I should have paid closer attention to that. Seems awfully slow.

I bought this HP printer in 2016 for my mother who is a high school teacher. She used her printer every so often, whether it was for work or personal documents. After 5 years it finally stopped working. Overall though I was happy with how it worked for my Mom. It was user friendly, got the job done, and gave us minimal issues until it 2021. I plan to continue buying this type of printer for years to come

I was looking for an all in one printer offering fax, scan and copy. This printer not only offered these features along with a touchscreen, but also a great price and not so expensive inks. I am satisfied and excited with my purchase.

The printer was very easy to install and use. I used to have a HP Officejet 8620. Very similar but the 6978 is lighter and has a few more features that come in handy for my small business needs. Also you can subscribe to instant ink which is also a service that comes in handy.

I got this prior to black Friday on sale, but black Friday had a much better price. I have not used it much yet but it is working as expected. I had a little problem with the Wi-Fi hookup to my computer, still have not been able to get my phone to recognize or print to it. When going through the setup it had a recommended setup install so went with the default, but when had the above problem with Wi-Fi had to go back and do the full install. Think it is more me then the product, I just have not taken the time to work on the phone problem. I also went with the HP ink program for the first time, for me at this point I think it will save me over 50% in ink cost, I just don't like the data that is being collected to get the 50% off the ink, it's a trade off, HP sends ink, printer sends data / info.

Haven’t really owned a printer in years bc I didn’t have a use for one! Good printer for the price ($89). I’m very excited about the option to print from my phone using my printers email address. The HP instant ink option is a plus.

This printer produces excellent quality prints and is very easy to use. It has connected wirelessly without trouble with multiple devices.

I was looking for a reasonably priced multi-function printer with a document feed scanner. This printer works well and with the HP connected program for ink refills, I don’t have to worry about remembering to buy refill cartridges.

This was a replacement that was long over due, it was easy to set up and get connected, it allows me to print from my phone through my home wifi. I haven't printed much yet but I am scanning documents and copying many documents every day so far no problems with this printer, for the cost it is working out very well

Needed an immediate replacement for an old HP printer. I use the OfficeJet Pro 6978 in a small home office setting and I needed all functions including fax, document feeder and mobile printing. I don’t need to print photos, so use this more for basic printing, scanning to pdf, and the occasional fax. It came with a promo offer for the HP Instant Ink for 5 months, so giving that a try as well. I did call HP during the initial set up because I had questions on the Ink program, but there is a guided install to walk you through the steps on your own. The speed and print quality has been fine, but if you print a lot of photos then you may opt for another model. I use magic jack for my home phone. The phone line for the printer fax is connected through a DSL filter to the magic jack and shares the same phone number. There has not been any problem with that set up. The printer itself is setup using a wireless connection on my home network. I did lose the connection once, but turning off the printer and turning it back on solved the issue. Printing from ipad, iphone and android phone has worked great - a big plus for me as my old printer lacked this feature. So far, I am happy with the purchase.

Awesome printer to replace the previous series printer that died after 5 yrs and succumbed to a lightning strike. Easy to operate and the EASY TO USE FAX is great. Self feeds...multi pages and 2 sided printing...add blue tooth and youve got it all...I print from a desk top and 4 different laptops without issues.

I happened to catch this all-in-one printer on sale when I stopped through Jacksonville. I've needed a wireless printer for a very long time. This one does everything I need it to do. Very convenient and useful features too.

This printer is very good. Excellent quality for printing, and set was very easy.Also the fax on it was a good feature.
